character from a cool gamecube game that only I have played, apparently.

Are you sure? There is a Kalas321 roaming around in this forum. So maybe he has played the same gamecube game? :wizard:

I always wondered if there is any connection. ;)

Could also be a Highlander reference. He was an evil immortal and former monk and help create the Brotherhood that kept track of immortals before he snapped and turned on them all.

Originally thearmysredneck I went and enlisted in the army right out of high school and then redneck is because I am 1 of those 3 percent bitter clinger Oathkeeper good ol boys from down below the Dixieline in the good ol south of the US of A. Now the GSRM stands for Gun Slinging Redneck Militia a call of duty 4 clan that I founded. It had 28 members and then there was also some brothas that didn't like the idea of being called redneck so they had GSNM Gun Slinging **** Militia that had 5 guys in it. So 33 members in all.

EverQuest, third expansion. Was trying to think up a name for my Beastmaster catman and the random generator spat out Ahdinn. Thought Adhin looked better.

In my first ever gold match, I saw a geth (forgot about his kit) player with the name "Optimus_Prime" kicking asses left and right. It was truly awe inspiring.

when I created my bioware account (all the way back when Neverwinternights came out) I was reading the Battletech novels so V_Davion stands for Victor Ian Davion-Steiner, Prince of the ManFed.

and my GT is SYN810S. I wanted Synbios, the hero in Shining Force 3 Scenario 1, but since it was already taken, I used a bit of 1337 5p34k :)

A name I created for a sport forum, representing the team I support.
And I just keep it and don't see the point in coming up with another one I guess.

My main handle for most things (including my XBL gamertag), Busfull, is taken after my favorite TV Trope of all time.

BSN name though? God I don't know. I don't even know what it means.

Quick shout out to the terry pratchett fans in the thread.

Anyway, I swore I'd never play online games, what with all the horrible, juvenile people on the net, I couldn't imagine a greater waste of time. So I never thought my PSN tag would become public. But then in order to complete all the trophies for ME3 (to unlock the platinum trophy), I had to play a few MP matches...hundreds of hours later and having uniformly positive experiences with the community (and even joining the AHF), here I am.

Anyway, when I was creating the tag and forum name, I was thinking of one of the funniest simpsons episodes where Bart gets a fake i.d., rents a car, drives to Tennessee with Milhouse, Martin, and Nelson (the bully) to see the old World's Fair exhibits, the centerpiece of which is the "Sun Sphere". Eventually they spend all their money and are stranded; in frustration, Nelson throws a rock at the Sun Sphere, knocking it over and smashing the rental car. As the rest of the crew looks on dejectedly, Nelson (oddly and proudly) declares "But on the plus side, at least I knocked over the Sun Sphere!" His skewed optimism over that moment has always slayed me.

5, just because straight up sunsphere was taken. And I guess it doubles as an S...

Origin ID: HowlingSiren.

My real name is Nina, and an ex teased me by saying it sounded like a police siren: niiiinaaaa, niiiiinaaaaa, niiiiinaaa. I thought that was hilarious and actually quite true. So I embraced it in my gamer tag.

Also infinetely more preferable to the alternative interpretation.

Which would be a donkey. Image IPB *snicker*

Good story and name tho.

Since both spam and bots and spambots even more so are universally reviled I wanted to make my Origin ID spambot but it was already taken, so remembering the cheat code in Ultima VI, I decided to make it spamspamspambot. Besides, it felt more spammy, spamming the word spam in my ID. Not that I spam or anything.

As for my BSN ID, I think it's funny going by the word "fool" in Latin, being pretentious as well as self depreciating with the same word.

Back when I played Quake, unreal, and other FPS games on my pc my tag was D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F. 666. But since I memorized the re-spawn pattern for death match in almost all of them people started to call me other things. Then I was forced to change my tag or get banned (people figured out what it means and like the little ****es they are complained so I was watching The Omen and then walked over to my computer and changed it then when on 6 hour trolling kill streak.

360: Bass Beatdown
Was sick of Awesome Tree, and wanted something fresh. I had just begun to appreciate bass in songs (vocally, instruments, etc.) I also wanted to show off my love for wordplay, and wanted something that looked kinda intimidating. And thus Bass Beatdown was born.

Wii U: s-dude
A reference to an earlier time online when I went by S-Dude. I found many friends, and the Internet was a pure place for me back then. Plus Bass Beatdown wouldn't fit for a Nintendo Network ID.

My GT is like that because I'm an uncle and I put my name after it.

At least it's better than my previous one.

My name here? I dunno. I was tired and I didn't want to think of some elaborate name.

My nickname refers to "Serenity" from Sailor Moon, I use this since 2001; the other part contains my year of birth and the TLA of my country.

Cyrene was a city--current ruin--in Libya. I needed a name for my very first Amazon back in Diablo II, and soon thereafter the first online forum I joined to discuss Diablo II. Because the Greek version "Kyrene" is a bit of an enigma/secret about me and androgynous/sexless I have kept it since.

My Origin ID has "ZA" appended as a courtecy so that people can (hopefully) know where I'm hosting from.

Enigmat1cGuy

I had a discussion with a friend back in sophomore year of high school, and he used the word "enigma". I didn't know what it meant at the time, but I acted like I did know. I then proceeded to look it up after our discussion and have been using that term as often as possible ever since. So for my xbox gamer tag, I like the word "enigma" and I'm a guy, so I came up with Enigmat1cGuy. Pretty anticlimactic, huh?

Have had the name for about a Decade. People I know in real life call me TL or my real name interchangeably.

I decided on it as a screen name after that one time I rezzed a terrible PUG and they came back as a lizard. But of course the proper spelling was already taken.

I got my gamertag... oddly enough... from when I used to bootleg/hacking. I needed a username for a form entry because existing members already used up "shadows"-esqe names. The odd spelling was rather catchy. My friends, partners-in-crime and repeat customers seemed to like it so it stuck. Been using it ever since.

My BSN and GT 'MisterBazinga' comes from the fact that I am a man and a nod to Sheldon Cooper's phrase "Bazinga".
Quite simple really.
