When I first signed up for my psn, I tried using the nickname Marauder. Taken. I then tried Prosthetics...taken...then I got annoyed and typed prostheticlimbs just to have a damn name.

Me and my brother were Biggs and Wedge, so that's where that came from. Was about to change the 'Ser' out of it a few months after I had made it, but I had played too much Bad Company MP on the account to have the heart. Still don't really like it, but whatever.

To make a long story short: after testing lots of made up nicknames of different styles, it was the one that brought less unwanted requests. I guess it has to do with being gender neutral and pretty cryptic. In French it doesn't remotely mean anything and sounds a bit harsh. I started using it and found handy to have a unique identity everywhere.

Anyway, I build Super Touring and various space-frame racecars. My most recent venture was one for myself, a Nasa Super Touring PT-C Class car built on a 1992 Nissan 240sx chassis. The car was mostly black when I picked up the shell. Most of the builds I have done adopted some sort of a name. One day in the shop, one of the guys called it the "Black Project", it stuck. The number 18 is the number for the car, "18R". I'm just starting to get into the Touring class of racing as a driver, R stands for rookie driver. I still have to earn my stripes.

It's a reference to Siegfried from the song of Nibelungs/ Nibelungenlied.
Haven't read it personally due to not understanding old style poetry, but i know the jist of Siegfrieds tale and his battle against Fafnir. I was going to change it at one point to Kalevala which is one of teh oldest ye olden poems of Finnish culture but decided against that due to name changes creating confusion.
