I might be doing something wrong but this gun does not seem to match up to its description at all and doing the challenge for it is a major pain.

I get it that it supposed to be heavy, inaccurate at long range, have high recoil, and reload like a snail.

But it also supposed to do HIGH damage and have a large clip.

To me its damage seems mediocre even at close range (could be that either the bullet damage is low or the gun is very inaccurate even at short range) unless I hug the target and aim for the head. Even then a shotgun would still fare better.

And that 60 clip size just does not cut it for a sustained fire spray & pray gun imo. Especially when coupled with the extrem reload time of the Revenant.

Even on Turians this gun is plain terrible imo.

As for the gun, it's garbage in my opinion.

I used to defend the Revenant a lot in the early days of ME3 MP.

I have a hard time doing that now... I've totally lost my love for it.

Its awful first time i got it zions ago used it couldnt hit anything this gun is terrible and been replaced long ago by typhoon

It's been outclassed hard by nearly every other rifle. It definitely needs a bit of a buff so it's at least better than the uncommons.

It's awful. It *should* be a huge damage dealer, with weight and poor stability/accuracy being it's drawbacks. But the damage is so poor it's just not worth it. I've taken it on Gold, it's a joke.

Really? I find it works quite well on gold. And I take it in a Hsol

I can make it work with a TSol on gold (20 headshots medal), but it definitely needs a buff somewhere.

Its one of those specialized guns. Some classes are gonna use it better then others & it really cant be used without some kind of stabalization mod. Seems to always put a stop to those death squads trying to overrun you if there lined up at point blank range. All in all this gun is not for practical use and the recoil needs to be nerfed a bit. Still i use it with different setups.

Probally the easiest way to use it is to bring it for bosses & use a light smg for troops like the locust. Tried this with my Sal.Engie and wasnt too bad.
The gun has its moments but its not really a pick up and go weapon and it does take plenty of practice to master if you have the patience to do so.

It's not just you, the gun blows. I'd never use it outside of a Turian Sol/ Sentinel. And even then you have to stack a load of lvl 3 amps and ammo onto it, to make it half decent on gold. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole if I have other options.

Btw all geth and turians as well as human soldiers are very well equipped to make a beadt of it.

I use it with the AP and EB mods on my Destroyer for optimal damage output. Not amazing, but it feels like the general workhorse weapon in my Destroyer's hands. I use it to kill mooks fairly well, and when boss units get in close-mid range I pull out my Piranha (smark choke/HVB) to burn them down.

I used to have it on my HSoldier when I played Bronze and in early Silver. There was this build that allowed continuous autofire without reloading and I remember putting lots of bullets down the reactor core.
I hit **** with it but I had some childish fun. I never tried it out on Gold though - but it can't be worse than the GPR.

But the HM bonuses there are pretty key, as well as Glacier being such a small map. Its not great outside of the accuracy boosting kits (TSol, Destroyer, Geth, Quarksman can make it work too).
