Took it out for a test drive today with the GI, I definitely need to get used to the playstyle but it's very good on it. It's also reasonably accurate fired from cover, I was popping heads with it from medium range from cover. It's a good (not great) gun, but it's just not very user friendly.

(not directed at ^) It's a rare ffs! You cannot compare it to promotional or UR guns.

That said: I rock it on my HSol with plain old stability mod and the new barrel.

it's a great gun, unless you actually want to hit something you couldn't just melee.

I tried it on plat last night, on the TSol. Scored 70k in that game whereas the rest of the night I was consistently scoring 120-150k.

Its just not for me, I guess.

Terrible, only used it to get points for challenge then ditched it for favoured weapon, Mattock. It might just be using on a Soldier class but you would expect that to be the better option. I actually found it better in the SP which seems slightly odd.

The problem with the Revanant is it's like trying to shoot straight while strapped to a jackhammer someone is using to dig up the road! I'm sure it does a lot of damage if you can actually hit anything for long enough. Unfortunately even the stability bonus on a Turian doesn't seem to make that likely.

I can manage just fine with the 30% stability provided by my rank 5 Barrage gear bonus. With the turian stability bonus, it'll be the lackluster accuracy that's going to hold you back. That's why it's best to only use it on classes that have accuracy bonuses.

I think people really exaggerate about this gun.

It's not great nowadays, but it's still got some pretty decent DPS (861.25. The Harrier gets 1187.08, which is considerably higher, but the weapon does ridiculous damage without even being compared to everything)

It's a pretty effective bullet-hose for the Volus classes, since you don't have to worry about ramping back up again every time you interrupt your fire.

its fun on certain classes, and good if you dont have UR AR's, the hurricane, or the indra to around IV, and then it becomes a gun you use for spite.

Only usable on the Destroyer IMO

THat or marksman.

But ON The destroyer, it skyrockets to damn near best gun you can use.

THe issue is that people try to use it like a regular assault rifle.  The spread makes it ideal for taking on GROUPS of enemies, which is how I use it:  Close to mid range, taking care of multiple enemies at once in the same speed most guns take care of a single enemy.

Personally, I love this gun.  Loved it since ME2.  It has massive power and ammunition so you can just hold down the trigger and by the time a clip runs out, everything is dead.  The spread makes it so that nobody can really avoid the fire from it, and the sheer damage means that it just RIPS through enemies.  And if you need to take care of a lone enemy, focusing ALL THAT FIREPOWER that takes down entire mobs, onto ONE lone enemy?  Its just sad.

Put armor piercing and extra damage on that?  Dear GOD, pray for its enemies.

Like someone else mentioned, this gun was stellar in ME2..i don't know what happened to it for MP. For the weight and recoil and even the sound this thing makes, it needs to be doing major damage...the typhoon is a better gun all around.

I go back to it every now and then, but everytime i switch to a better gun after using it , i always find myself being away from it for an extended period of time each time i switch....i guess at some point i'll stop using it completely...i just keep trying to give it a chance, because all it really needs is an accuracy and damage buff.

You need accuracy and stability so stability mod and marksman then you kick ass.

Stick a scope on it.

I use it with the AP and EB mods on my Destroyer for optimal damage output. Not amazing, but it feels like the general workhorse weapon in my Destroyer's hands. I use it to kill mooks fairly well, and when boss units get in close-mid range I pull out my Piranha (smark choke/HVB) to burn them down.

Use the same loadout on my Destroyer, usually with warfighter gear and probably a stabilization consumable if I'm playing gold.  Does fine, though I tend to use incendiary rounds and I'm sure that helps.

Revenant is the only gun I have so far that I can literally just hold down the trigger, walk forward, and mow down entire waves of enemies on Gold on my Destroyer.

Other guns lack the power and sustained fire and spread of a Revenant to make them work for doing that.

If nothing else, that thing is the IDEAL gun for a Destroyer (Less so for a vanilla turian soldier, but still good for em).

I've put it on a Volus Engineer and I've topped score boards before using just that and proxy mine to test it out. It's a great gun if you can aim it at things' heads constantly.

The revenant 10 does less damage than the harrier 1. The revenant has far more recoil and less acuracy than the harrier. So it does less damage per shot, and and there's a higher chance your shot would miss anyway.
I'm not saying the harrier needs a nerf necessarily. But the revenant needs to do at least the same damage as a harrier 1 to be considered even near par to it.

For some reason, it's a lot better in SP than MP.

I love it in SP, I won't touch it in MP.

It's okay on the Turian Soldier, but the day the BPP gets introduced it will be obsolete.

It'll do that DPS when it actually hits things.
