Rosy is a fat **** of gun, treat her right an the revenant will be your enemys doom.

Btw all geth and turians as well as human soldiers are very well equipped to make a beadt of it.

Impressive [/Garrus]

But the HM bonuses there are pretty key, as well as Glacier being such a small map. Its not great outside of the accuracy boosting kits (TSol, Destroyer, Geth, Quarksman can make it work too).

You can do the same with a TGI (i.e. I did). In fact TGI might be better because of stimpacks.

...my whole point was that certain kits allow you to offset the deficiencies of the gun. I'd like those deficiencies reduced somewhat, not just be stuck to the same few kits to get the best of the Revenant.

I had a little fun with it on my justicar. With recoil and piercing mods + level 3/4 warp ammo. I could put out some nice damage while not suffering too much on power usage.

But then I switched to the hurricane, and it's much lighter while also doing more damage.

So then it fell back into uselessness.

This thread seriously got to eight pages?

I don't know what everyone else is doing wrong with this gun, but I can stick it on any class specced for weapon damage and pull my weight in Gold. It won't quite match the killing power of the Typhoon (which is way heavier), Hurricane (way rarer), Harrier (has ammo issues), or Claymore (heavy, requires reload cancelling), but as I just mentioned, these other guns all have drawbacks the Revenant doesn't. You need to use the Barrel and Piercing mods with it, however, which could cause some problems for PC players who don't have dozens of AP ammo consumables to free up a slot for the stability mod.

I don't care what anyone says, I love the Revenant.

Sure, it isn't very accurate, and it kicks like a rampaging bull, and it weighs quite a lot for what it does.

But I'm fine with that, because it's awesome. I can run around firing bullets all over the place, make fantastic racket. I probably won't be doing as much damage as I might with a more precise weapon, but I'll have a massive smile on my face while I'm doing it. Which is what matters to me in a game like this.

I feel the same way about the Argus and the Raider; probably not the best way of getting things done, but I'll be having so much fun while doing it that I don't care

Ya'll need to try that with a Human Soldier and a Typhoon.

Gotta use it on an accuracy-boosting class. With an accuracy-specced Turian Soldier I would think that chained headshots are easy to come by, I must give this a try next time I get the chance, or I will just put a scope on the thing.

NO! NOBODY HAS TO USE THE REVENANT ON AN ACCURACY BOOSTING class TO MAKE IT WORK!
just equip the scope and dont use fine aim. problem solved.

end!

Name your Turian Soldier "MoreDakka" and set up as follows (or as close to it as you can, depending on what rank of gear you have and how much you're willing to burn your consumable gears.)

What you do with the remaining 42 points for powers is up to you but this is the setup that will turn the Revenant into a true DakkaDakkaDakkaDakka machine.

What is dakka, you ask? TVTropes will tell you. And I'm so, so sorry.

A dream weapon for revenant lovers, black ""rosy"", 33% more accuracy and damage, little less recoil and slight higher rof ;)

I'd prefer the other direction. More amage and accuracy, yes, but perhaps the same recoil and a slower ROF. Would sound more like "CHUNG CHUNG CHUNG CHUNG CHUNG" (full auto, ROF 200ish?) than dakkadakkdadakkadakka (Current ROF). Sort of like the Revenant and the Saber got it on in the armory and spawned this thing.

What if I don't wanna use it exclusively on Turians?

Destroyer, Quarian Marksman, or any Geth with Hunter Mode will do pretty well with it, too.

I tried it on a Batarian Soldier and it was somewhat entertaining. Batarians aren't slowed when firing it. I might give this build another go but you have to get pretty close to make it work and then shotguns are generally a better choice.

TGI works best with it.
#1, no slowdown when firing the gun.
#2 Turian Passives keeping the recoil in check.
#3 Tac Cloak bonuses making the damage silly.

One of the few weapons I will take with the TGI on Platinum. Saber, Revenant, Typhoon... It works well if you amp it silly and make the damage output offset the point-blank nature of the weapon.
Or boost the accuracy, TSol works best, followed by Destroyer then QMS.

i don't know what about the sound effect used for this gun makes me feel sick O_o
other than that is an excellent gun, especially on classes with improved rate of fire or with stability mods

Revenant X is wonderful on my Turian Soldier. I think I had to slap on an accuracy or stability mod.

something i found in a txt recently i posted for the legion once
--------------
Revenant Tips

Since i keep getting asked how i can do all that with a revenant did i decide to watch myself more closely, how i actually do use it and what might others be not considering

To me this gun comes natural, actually i got no real clue what i am doing besides "taking aim and open fire", but i doscivered a few things

1.
Do not aim with the center crosshair, instead with the bullets trace, slightly to the upper left of the center of the crosshair they will go

2.
Aim for the neck to get repeated headshots, you wont get many headshot medals, but you will dish out more damage as many bullets with hit their face/critical spot

3.
Spec your builds around it, my gi for example is specced for hm with accuracy rof and damage

4.
Learn to control the recoil, for me it is a subconscious act as i played quake2 alot with the ar and chaingun and this is still in me

Mastering the recoil makes it a formidable weapon and medium ranges, for geth and turian marksman with accuracy even at long

I suggest to learn using it and its reload times and when and how to cancel them with the turian soldier at first

Just a few things i noticed, they might not be the key, but they could help :)

i would add hipfire to reduce recoil

I barely hipfire, and when only on classes without penalty for a fighting retreat......

4.

Thats there for a reason

*edit*
Only weaponmods you should ever use on the revenant, ammo and piercing, wheres piercing can be replaced with barrel and ap ammo (no scopes stabilizer other bs, a blade for melee classes is acceptable)

when I first got my rev death machine on me3 single player I was like "wtf... oh ya... let's kick some reapers!" but then took me 2 minutes to switch back...

I mean.. on me2 that gun was death incarnate and on me3 is utter useless.... I'll take mattock over it.
