Btw, why are we discussing Geth Biotics when we don't even have Quarian, Turian and Salarian Adepts?

It is possible, isn't it?

Well I thought that Biotics were essentially the use of mass effect fields. Which every ship uses to get around at such a speed, so in theory, the Geth would just have to install an eezo core to be able to use biotics.
Please correct me if I'm wrong ;)

People need to read the codex more. I just saw a thread with someone thinking that Geth Biotics broke lore.

This.

Geth are synthetic. Synthetics can't have Biotics. End of Story.

There's absolutely NOTHING suggestining that the Geth can't have biotic powers.

Then start to read the codex.

Technically, biotic powers are controlled by electrical impulses from the central nervous system, amplified and modulated by implants. Of course, a prerequisite is a Nervous system.

So there is theoretically no reason why the geth could not themselves have technology to replicate the same system. Especially since ships have engines/reactors that manipulate element zero and mass effect fields on much larger scales.

Biotics is the ability of rare individuals to manipulate dark energy and create mass effect fields hrough the use of electrical impulses from the brain. Intense training and surgically-implanted amplifiers are necessary for a biotic to produce mass effect fields powerful  enough for practical use. The relative strength of biotic abilities varies greatly among species and with each individual.

That's the actual codex quote.

Here's Mass Effect Fields:

Element zero can increase or decrease the mass of volume of space-time when subjected to an electrical current. With a positive current, mass is increased. With a negative current, mass is decreased. The stronger the
current, the greater the magnitude of the dark energy mass effect. In space, low-mass fields allow FTL travel and inexpensive surface-to-orbit transit. High-mass fields create artificial gravity and push space debris away from vessels. In manufacturing low-mass fields permit the creation of evenly-blended alloys, while high mass compaction creates dense, sturdy construction materials.

AKA

Geth Biotics are lore friendly.

Implying that the nervous system isn't just an electrical field that relays signals to and from the motherboard, i mean brain.

Thanks for proving the point that geth biotics can exist :wizard:

Mass effect fields are generated when element zero is subjected to differing electrical currents. The nervous system simply provides a source of electrical current. Engines in the ME universe also manipulate element zero and they do so through electrical current. Hence, it is not any specific trait of the human nervous system, which is quite remarkable, but rather an input of electrical energy.

We bring you codex quotes. You bring your own interpretation of some codex sentences. Sorry, you're still wrong.

I'm still waiting for someone explaining why we've never seen any geth biotic, since they can exist, hmmm ?

So it is not technically BIotics, but Geth are entirely capable of manipulating mass effect fields. So I suppose it is slightly incorrect to say a geth biotic, since they are not organic beings, but they could easily develop technology that would replicate the same effects a human Biotic could produce.

Biotics simply refers to the manipulation of mass effect fields in organics.

Apparently you lack common sense and reading comprehension.

Our nervous system is basically an electrical field that relays signals to and from our brain.

How is that different than the system the geth (or any electronics) uses to control their own movements? I realize one is organic, another not, but they both use electrical currents to relay the information.

Biotics work because of electrical currents manipulating the Zero. That is how it works. Read the fracking codex.

It isn't. Suggesting that the nervous system is no more than an electrical field is like saying that eyes are no more than the glass lens on a camera.

The brain is part of the nervous system.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.
