Has anyone else completely lost interests in ME universe after EC?

Just seems kinda' pointless...no matter how varied their stories, they all get pretty much the same ending...
Sure, ME1 and ME2's 'multiple endings' were all pretty much the same and had no real affect on ME3 but I was hoping ME3 would have a more personalized ending tailored to the way you played...
But I'm still interested in where the Mass Effect universe goes from here...I love the universe too much to just 'let it go'...

But ultimately, that is not corruption. The lowest common denominator is still a paying customer. And while I don't play Halo, or Gears of War, or Call of Duty, companies still have the right to make that product and market it.

Doesn't mean there couldn't have been improvements, but you can honestly say that about each game in the series, honestly.

ME is a great serie so i don't banish the 1st and the 2nd ME because the 3rd sucks, i still enjoy the ME1-2(after 9 months, before i had to struggle to not sell them) and in the while pretending that ME3 deosn't exist

And one of the ways they market it is by getting leverage over the the critics and award shows....even those that aren't as much out there as the VGAs still do it.....they just don't put themselves out there so much. What you get is favor high reviews for the brand new game of EA in exchange for exclussive bits about the next huge EA game and so on. Or EA lifting the review embargo a week earlier just for you in exchange for a 90+ score and you get the attention of all the hyped fans because you have one of the couple of reviews they'll see in a week.
It is VERY bent and VERY corrupt.

If you are still interested in characters, or discussing past glories, or future DLC ideas, or similar, you have not "completely lost interest" in the game. People who hang around because they have friends here (great!) or enjoyed what happened in the past or whatever I totally understand. As pointed out, that is a key part of a "social" site.
I do not understand why people who say they have no interest in a subject feel the need to say that they no longer have an interest in the subject. Are you looking for stimulation as to why you should stay? (like from fellow posters or developers to convince you to stay) Are you looking for validation as to why you should go?
As I said, I don't mean this in a snarky way. I am curious as to why people (not just this OP) say these things so that wer can make things better here to prevent people from posting like this (becoming disenchanted) in the future.
I think part of the problem Chris is that us as fans seem to think you are not listening to us. I know you cannot appeal to every single fan request, but you seem so out of touch with most of your fan base. And that is what down hearts the fans the most.
They feel as if you do not care. They want to stay, because it's mass effect, a universe people have devoted hundreds of hours too, but when they see their questions, pleas and so on go unheard, they make these threads.
We just want you to listen to us, and acknowledge us. Show us you are listening. And when we ask questions, give us answers. Do not be silent. We need to know you care.

After a few months (almost a year) I've calmed down enough to realize I still really love the Mass Effect Trilogy, but I am hesitant of jumping right into the next game without doing a lot of research now.

Then came ME3. It left a sour taste in my mouth. I have been unable to play a sinlge second of SP in any of the three games since. I have no interest in DLCs or reall even ME4.
Why am I still here? Because I enjiy the MP game. And I still hold out hope that Bioware learns from the debacle and remembers the game is for the players, not for their own 'artistic integrity.'

Hell, the lowest common denominator of PnP RPGs was D&D. I think a lot of us are still a bit fond of that one.

Well, I always did my best to make civil and constructive comments pointing out things that went wrong and are going wrong when it comes to the communication of Bioware with it's fans/customers (especially concerning ME3), in the slight hope that maybe someday we can have a relevant dialogue again.
Then the year starts with a ban on the public discussion of a popular topic on the ME3 forums. **** this ****.

I honestly have no clue why I still hang around. On one hand I still care alot about the series, of the characters, of the universe. On the other hand I still feel sad when I think about the game's ending, and the lack of a reunion following the high-ems destroy ending. Point is, I still can't let it go, no matter how much I am depressed by it.

Don't be fooled...that's all it is.
If the OP sincerely wanted to know the answer to their question...all they had to do was a search for all the countless and redundant threads on the same exact topic or similar to find his answer.
However, what they really wanted to do was make sure they got their own hate thread read.

Do the things that makes you happy, for me one of them is playing ME or DA. Different people like different things, as always =)

Some people lost interest in ME universe after the extended cut, a lot of people, and a many more before the EC... but I did not , thanks to the indoctrination theory. With IT, the only logical explanation to the ending in my mind, I can still enjoy the saga, and I'm replaying the original mass effect right now, enjoying it a lot.
I log in the forums today to find out that "speculations for everybody" is replaced with " locked, don't spam the forums" to any indoctrination discussion. It seems like Bioware want the few fans they have left to hate them. Maybe I'm going to rush a little bit my last run trough the saga before they ruin everything I love about it with their disgusting behavior.
Indoctrination supporters have hope in Bioware talent and dedication and some moderator came in today to say that " we are few, we are loud, we cant discuss, go die in that dark hole we call groups".
Get a ****ing clue and apologize to people that is investing time into keeping this community alive after everything you have done to the saga.

...established titles like Halo and COD...need more TV adds and good scores.....the scores have to be ok so as not to drive people away...
I'd argue that people would buy Halo and COD regardless of scores. These two franchises are untouchable - for now, at least. The biggest chunk of their sales come from those who pre-order, and that segment of the market doesn't give a hoot about the score on some online website because they are enamoured by the brand. And if the score is poor, they'll claim that they reviewer is biased, has been paid off by a rival developer etc. Going back to games like Journey - this really succeeded because the game was amazing and offered something beautiful and unique. Despite the publicity from Sony, a game so different isn't going to be hugely successful without good word of mouth and good review scores simply because people are unfamiliar with the franchise. A lot of new IPs aren't doing as well as they deserve to right now, for many reasons.

I know this may sound a little snarky, but I really don't mean it to. I mean this as an actual legitimate question:
Then why are you here?
"I don't like ME anymore" (for whatever reason. Didn't like the ending, didn't like the DLC, didn't like ME3 core game, MP, etc). Why are you still here?
I have, over the course of a long life, fallen in and out of love with games, authors, films, etc. When I am done with them, I am done with them. I don't linger, hang around, etc and tell people about how I am "done" with whatever it is. Sure, maybe later on, I come back to it and reread/replay/rewatch, etc and maybe get involved again, but if I am done with something, I leave it.
So if you have "lost interest" (or similar) why are you still here?
It's a fair question that you asked really. It's quite possible that the OP is waiting for the DLC cycle to finish to see what is still in store, as you said. This is not unlike myself. Also, the OP is also confused about the ending like many of us are.
We just don't understand why Harbinger would just stare at the Normandy or why his involvement was largely cut from the main campaign. It's things like that which confuse about the ending. I can't comment on Aria as I haven't played the Omega DLC. I don't know if you guys are planning something with Harbinger but as to why you would add him in a MP trailer and not put him in SP... I don't know the reasoning behind that. Maybe this particular character rubs the writers the wrong way. I personally thought he was the best part of the trilogy.
I do find it interesting that this latest DLC has been kept tightly under wraps.

I was never a supporter of IT. I never visited threads discussing it. I'm appalled about the declaration of this ridiculous IT prohibition. Recently I thought "oh, what the hell, it's a new year - maybe we can start over now and talk to each other". And now this. I really don't know what to say.

But can you give one legitimate reason why they would they do this? Why would any company actively and purposefully sabotage their own product with the sole intention of alienating their fans? Do you not think using this kind of rhetoric is just a little bit melodramatic?
