As others have mentioned, it'd be near impossible to nerf him right now without hurting many other classes and he has insane power synergy. I hope whoever designed him got a raise because that's a great character design.

If they do tone him down they'll have to either redesign him completely or separate his powers first, which would require a patch from my understanding.

The TGI, on the other hand, is goddamn ridiculous but with the state of public games right now I'll take a half decent Harrier TGI just for the sake of having somebody who can contribute damage.

i guess this is another case of a good player knowing how to use the character to full potencial. so this said the character isn't OP. i've seen endless epic fails with GI so...... leave it alone :) i've seen solo's with volus so....... volus are super OP !!!!!!!!!! ^_^

The GI's massive damage output is offset by the fact that a strong breeze can kill it.

I've seen smashed Georgdie northerners able to keep on their feet better than a badly played GI

lets not forget the heavy barrel glitch ( until  a patch fixes it)
the pirahna isnt even popular anymore.
(weight was never important to the GI anyway, i mean overall)

Yes, the GI is OP. Yes, if Bioware knew how to balance classes I'd actually be fine with a nerf. But they don't. Look at the Havoc, Saboteur, Salarian Engineer, and Destroyer.*

*now, if they were to say, buff the weapons they implied they would as a result of the Destroyer, would have been a fine Nerf, but we've been waiting 2 and a half months.

you know for the amount of threads constantly being posted in the MP part of BSN its amazing how many of them are just repeats of old threads.

seriously, try to have an original thought every once in a while.

Nerfs, if you think something is OP, just don't use/play them, find others who agree with you on this and leave the rest of us to enjoy this game.

OH god not again, it's CALLED a glass cannon, they take "skill" and understanding to USE beign hit as one is nearly fatal at least... usually so damnit why do people whine over GLASS CANNONS so fckn damn much, I mean in general even the "Infiltrators ALONE" are all glass cannons, the only one barely NOT one is the Turian Ghost whom still is semi glassy at least

(due note this comment is not at OP whom is "flaming/trolling" it's at the peopel agreeign in their heads thinking this is real...and agreeing <_<

GI is no more powerful than the Valkyrie with PPR or reegar and incendiary or warp ammo. Ghosts damage output is pretty close to the GI, and he can refill his shields at will. Kroguard and broguard are indestructible. Huntress can kill a banshee with one cast of DC. GI and all these other kits I just mentioned are fine the way they are.

Ye he need a big nerf.... All three of his skill increase weapon dmg and have just one cooldown.... That is insane. HSol have just AR. TSol has has Marksman and Proxy but has to wait ages after Proxy to use Marksman. Quarian Soldier, Marksam +fast to use tac scan. Destroyer only Devastator Mode (and was nerfed). Geth infiltrator? TC cloak + Hunter mode + Proxy (5) and all of them can be used at the same time.... He is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy overpower.... If we just add TC to destroyer all of you would say that is to much.... he just has little shields and that can be neglected by cyclonic modulator....

Way to fix him ? a see only one take his hunter mode away complete and give some nades for example instead

Also GI isn't the reason for TC nerf. Players have complained all infiltrators were over powered since launch.

I'm not tacking cylonics:) it's not that something is shooting at me:) everything is dead already. But if some one need them they eliminate only drawback of this class

Today I carried some N7<100 pugs on gold with tempest using GI (Smg challenge)

<Above avg shields and shield regen in the fitness tree, fast strafe speed, dodge, stealth, aoe stagger w/ PM, and wall-hack. GI is a glass cannon if you play poorly or aren't resourceful. He's an elusive battlefield-razing MF-er if you don't. Does he need a nerf? I dunno, but the skill range on the kit is enormous. He's still prob the strongest kit in the game for anyone who's not a bad player.

As a scrub, I use the built in easy mode: 6/6/0/6/6 build + Shield Booster. Fewer DPS, but now it's a regular cannon, not a glass one.

That's about a 30% reduction if I'm not mistaken. It's also a visual headache. As I always did better leaving it off, I don't put points into it any more.
