Another honest question: How long before this section gets the character and romace section treatment? It *is* the most toxic part of the BSN, after all.

Next ME game is being made on Frostbite engine.

i certainly hope not. FE2 was amazing, but man.. look at UE4 it's really amazing. it delivers real-time world thing. i seen two videos on that engine, i'm not sure how to link the youtube videos of that engine

It's not really open to discussion at this stage, it has been confirmed will be using Frostbite for ME4 which means Frostbite 2 along with DA3 which is going to use it. The DA team are however building it up to be fit for purpose in conversation with Dice. So the engine will be completely tailored to work well with Bioware style games. I see this as a good thing.

Since Frostbite is EA's baby I think will 100% use that engine for the next ME title now that the capability of it looks very good but time will tell if works well with Bioware products and you will be able to judge that when DA3 comes out using it even though in general the DA team tend to create lower quality visually graphics in that franchise compared to ME. So if DA3 looks amazing with Frostbite 2 I imagine will be even better when ME team get hands on it and start making theirs using it.

Say, have you given up on "Project X" or moved the goal post to ME4? Curious minds would like to know.

Who said anything about Project X, or me?

I did, now answer.

Well, since you phrased it so nicely: no.

Go play with your brothers and attempt to strong-arm someone else.

Ya, specially for those of us who play on the PC, Frostbite is very PC friendly.  Definitly happy that it is being used for DA3.

did you know FE2 was made by DICE, and DICE released BF3 with FE2, i even heard that next Battlefield, BF4 would use FE3, but i'm not sure if it was said correct about it so i could be mistaken. since it's not open for discussion, i agree.

First off, no. No it has not worked well for anyone that is not an employee of bioware.

I would like to know how banishing people to groups is helpful. I thought this was a social network, not a network of groups. If that were the case, shouldn't you just move all discussions to groups?

I do personally belong to a few groups, but I rarely go to them.  Not because they are bad, but they are not noticeable....and I'm the one that requested to belong to them!Image IPBImage IPB  As a new person, it is easy to get "dissuaded" from using the groups, when you click on the "Groups" tab at the top of the page, and you are presented with a list like this: (as I just did before writing this post)

1. Shenko Fanfic

2. Game Grump's Fan Group

3. BSN Nostalgia Group

4. Bacon Porn

5. Noora's Story Corner

6. XCOM

7. tali

8. Mass Enffection Squad

9. The Next Evolution (X-Men RP)

Of course one can use the search functions (though they still can be difficult to navigate). Then you have to request to be invited (I admit, I am unsure if you have to do that with ALL Groups or not).  And again, as has been pointed out, many of these groups can easily become "out of sight, out of mind".  Not because the material or posters are not worthwhile, but because they just don't get the attention, the ease of perusing, and of viewing (lurking) when you wish.  I lurked here for about a year and a half before I even signed up and registered any games.  It took me almost 6 months after registering to finally understand about Groups.  Simple point: groups as they are now, are not user friendly.  Especially to newcomers.  So they often get ignored.  My opinion.

I for one come to this section of the forum only because I enjoy reading the various theories and interpretations of the game. It is interesting to see what people think of the meaning and impact of the ending. It's irritating to me that some of these threads will become hard to find or lost to exclusive groups. Can we at least have a "master thread" showcasing the theories themselves with directions on what groups exist so we know what is out there?

For whatever IT is, you have to admit it took an impressive amount of work to build and deserves some amount of recognition by the community. It is a fascinating product of the fandom, whether or not it is a valid interpretation of the game. It should not be lost in the backwaters of this community's unwritten history.

When is Bioware going to finally make KOTOR 3? (It's been what 8 or 10 years since the last one)

Bioware made kotor 1 obsidian Kotor2. Lucasart holds the rights to the franchise though I think.

I think IT was completely ridiculous. But I think closing the thread was the wrong thing to do. It's not directly being censored, but it's kind of like saying that the only people that should be exposed to the idea of IT are people that already know about it.

I even read the thread a few times (usually after new DLC) to check out new interpretations. Hiding it away in groups like that is just...I don't know. It bothers me on an ethical level (in a minor way, of course, but it still does).

Co-sign on KOTOR 3. (Edited for potential KOTOR 1 and 2 spoilers. Don't care that it's decades old now)

You're both asking the wrong people.

Here: disney.com Without them wanting to do KOTOR 3, neither Obsidian, Bioware or anyone else has any say on KOTOR 3.

Well, if Obsidian showed initiative and a clear, profitable perspective of what to do with it, they'd likely be able to persuade Disney into making a dent in some of that massive investment cost.

I'm not a fan of IT. But this is just...well i guess i should leave this forums for good. it's funny how you guys are closing every large topic that makes ending look like bs. That's exactly why fans think Bioware don't give a **** anymore. And you know what? This year showed me a lot of things about Bioware and I'm not going to have anything with this company from now on.

Perhaps. But if Disney said "No Feargus, Mickey Mouse needs more budget" that's the end of discussion and any plans for KOTOR 3, regardless of how much Obs really really wants to do it.

And seriously, Disney already said they would rather focus on mobile and social games. The future of core games based on Disney properties doesn't loook bright at all :/

Arguably it should've been in fan creations in the first place.
