The best 4 threads as of late have all been lockdowned

1. Boss's are too videogamey
2. IT theory mark 3
3. Losing trust in bioware
4. Dragon age dev about bsn

Seems they're cherry picking, as alot of good feedback was in those threads but typical
Bioware and focus on the negative aspect of the fanbase......i see synthesis threads remain as it caters to there agenda....

I don't think that was locked i think it was just un stickeyed if it was link please i want to know why

Are we allowed to discuss thread topics from an indoctrination perspective as long as its restrained to that particular topic?

The better question would be what we are allowed to discuss down here; that list grows shorter by the day.

here is a list

"what you love about ME3“

that is all

It's starting to look that way.

I don't think so, it seems they want indoctrination (and everything related to it) out of the forums, pal.

Then why did they sticky the topic, why not just lock it down and be done with it?

Probably so people can click it and see Priestly's warning.

Let's face it the environment for these forums has become rather toxic as of late with a lot of name calling and insults. They may have to clamp down hard for the time being to try and get a handle on the situation.

These are not forums that are friendly to new players at all.

I think banning any mention about IT may be going a little to far and I doubt they will do that. The threads I saw getting closed where ones with a lot of insults and the ones asking why a certain thread was locked which they have always done.

They probably stickied it so that people could see why it was locked down.

Aside from the IT theory mkIII (which is stickied btw); each one of those other threads devoled into snide remarks and insults against Bioware, hijacked by people who claim they hate the game but still post here regardless.

It's alright to post criticism as long as it doesn't revolve around calling for medievil pratices being called into use or references to certain bodily functions being violated.

As it happens; I don't like the ending but if I truly hate something then I just won't buy the product again. Simple business decision based on personal preferences. I don't believe anyone should lose their job over it nor do I call for someone's head (like the writer on DA2 who had impersonal threats made against her or Casey/Mac even if he looks like Sylar's brother :D). I still like ME1, ME2 and the bulk of ME3 as well as the multiplayer (there's so few scifi co-ops out there).

the group idea seems like a better thought, it is just that the mechanics of the group discussions are aweful...

Except for the fact that they only recently released the trilogy which is supposed to work to get new players into the games.  And new registered owners might have no idea how to find an IT group.  I know that it creates a lot of confusion for new people to find forums where there are stickied locked threads.

It seems short-sighted to me and I'm not questioning their right to lock down whatever they want, but indoctrination was included in the game and even considered by BW as something they might use for the ending.  IT was even said by some at BW to neither be confirmed nor denied.   If it now becomes the norm that theories associated with the game are not appropriate then perhaps it's time for a list of what is allowable to discuss be posted.

Pretty sure it was so everyone would see the thread is locked and read the post saying its no longer up for discussion in the forums. Have a feeling this threads gonna go poof sooner or later too. More trouble than its worth imo.

Frodo returns from the dead?  Batman and Catwoman give birth to hybrids?  Or the last shreds of our rancid hopes are pulled up from beyond the great beyond as we learn that Shepard merely pretended to be dead so people would leave her the fudge alone?

Chris himself said it is a valid intepretation and even confirmed that in one of the newer posts. Why he wants to contain the IT-discussion in its group is unknown to me, though.

Check the IT thread, there is everything except IT discussion.

But is that a valid reason to completely outlaw the discussion of indoctrination?

He asked politely to form a group and discuss it there, so it's not prohibited. It's a ghetto of some sort.

So you mean if people made a thread about Jack, and spammed it into lockdown, you would not be able to make a new thread concerning the said character?

I'm pretty sure his response to that sort of thing was to lock down the entire character discussion forum.

Until proven wrong, I'm going to assume that discussion of IT is still allowed. Just no more "IS THE IT FOR REALZ?" threads.

I believe you are misinterpreting Priestly's words...
Which was not to start another IT megathread...

Because it gets used like a chat room...
