I never liked IT. It's just unreal. It's like playing a fake game. Endings are real., Bioware made it clear. IT is saying that Shep is hallucinating. I don't think that Bioware released a game that is only partially real. It would've been a giant insult to the customers.

 

Do you not understand the point here? They are deleting threads because of the topic. Many indoctrination threads got deleted as "spam", even though they tried to keep the debate going on a subject that is a PART OF THE LORE. There is no reason to censor such threads, none.

People i think we're getting closer and closer to the inevitability of them outright banning criticism of Bioware games on the BSN.

I'm seriously depressed that IT got locked. I found Mark I right after I finished ME3 and I've been following almost everyday since. Sorry I never posted with you guys maybe if I was more vocal I could have helped hence my first post since I created this account. Thanks for all the hard work you did byne. I was in 3 other meetings, so have been away from BSN (lots to catch up on post 8 week vacation).

Answering questions:
1 - My PMs were shut off during my vacation. It is now reactivated by the web team .

2 - Discussion of the Indoctrination theory is moved to Groups. We did with the the character/romance forum as well and it has worked well for those people who want to discuss their preferred topics. This is how discussion on the Indoctrination theory will work.

3 - Some people were banned a few hours ago for deliberately spamming the forums and deliberately disregarding the instruction to use groups to discuss the IT. We do not enjoy temporarily banning people, but if they break the rules, they are met with the same results that any person who breaks the rules.

4 - Discussing topics that involve indoctrination is fine. HOWEVER simply calling the thread a different title and turning into an IT thread is not ok. If that happens, the thread will be closed and directed to use Groups.

5 - This thread would have been closed earlier, but I was on vacation for the past 8 weeks. It has nothing to do with any upcoming DLC or timing.

6 - Closing this thread does not validate or invalidate the Indoctrination Theory. As both Jessica and I have said many times, we will never (as far as I know) ever confirm or deny wether the IT is real or not as that is up to the individual playing the game to determine for themself. I personally have some playthroughs where the IT theory is impossible. I also have playthroughs where it could very well be valid.

Yeah, can you tell me if there will be Collectors/Harbinger in future DLC or is that an unknown right now?  Or can you not say?    I know I've asked this many times, so not to be annoying, just never got an answer.

I had too much vacation days accrued, so had to use about half of the time I have off or would have been beaten by our HR director. I still have about 50 days to use up. Yep, it is a hard life.

Priestly doesn't know jack about the actual development, he's simply doing his job (which is apparently being my best friend and ideal dream date to the forum whenever he can).

If you think this debunks IT, you're wrong. Its simply easier to delete or"lockdown" threads than it is to actually, you know, moderate. IMO he's a sorry excuse for a "community manager" or whatever his title is.

I'm usually a lurker on this forum, but outright banning IT threads is so over the line. Apparently they've changed their minds that IT is a valid interpretation. Or they lied, again.

Alright, I've got a question. Why is the IT thread closed and other such threads like synthesis discussion, puzzle theory, etc are not closed? Per your reasons for closing the IT thread they should also be closed down and discussion transfered to the groups section. Why is there a different standard uphold between the threads?

You can't delay popping that IT bubble forever, Bioware. When ME4 comes out you'll inevitably destroy many people's interpretation of the ending events. And then you'll get more flak for misleading statements.
