I think the final "farewells" are some of the most powerful moments in the trilogy

I still get the chills/goosebumps like I did on my very first playthrough (seriously). The moment is so tense. The atmosphere is surreal (the music helps). It's gripping, to say the least. They were pitch perfect in my opinion.

Each and every character brought a smile to my face and broke my heart at the same time (I know, real "manly")

Vega calling me "Loco", Ashley: "seems like it always comes down to this.", telling Garrus to remember to duck, the entire convo with Javik is pure gold, Wrex never broke character even before the battle of all time, EDI's display of emotion, "Tali Zorah vas Normandy".....Liara's "gift" (with Vigil music)

Who agrees or has similar emotions/feelings about this specific part of the game?

(No drama or trolling pertaining to the Ending, "pretty" please? Let's have a serious yet laid back discussion. And if this particular segment didn't "get" you....feel free to share what moment(s) did)

Yes they are. Even though Miranda doesn't get one in the same vein as say Garrus it's still pretty emotional.

Well some of them are kind of pathetic. Samara, unromanced Jack, and Jacob come to mind

I think we're a bit biased because it's Miranda.

Yeah, I'll give you that. The whole "walk" is pretty rough, IMO.

lol that is so ironic you name these 3. I like Samaras (she seems pretty stoic). I like "romanced" Jack (stay alive....I wanna get laid). And I actually like Jacobs (and Jacob is one of my least favorite characters in the series)

Grunt thanking me for getting him out of the tank. I wanted to give him a big hug.

Smara is just so generic and uninteresting, unromanced Jack is the same way, and Jacob is well... Jacob.

The only thing I can say I actively dislike about it is the completely pointless turret scene, especially coming after Garrus (and romanced Ashley for my male Shepard) goodbyes and right before Liara/Javik (mostly if you convince him to keep living)/Wrex/Tali.

It's so remarkably out of place and adds nothing to the overall scene.

I do really enjoy the goodbyes though.

They haven't really hit me to be honest. I was more bored than emotionally touched.

Maybe because my mood was more "Yeah, let's hit them one final time! Let's go!" and I was then forced to say my goodbyes in a depressing tone. I couldn't identify with the atmosphere at all.

I actually love when Miranda says goodbye to Shepard.

Particularly, because of Shepard's response: "Everything will change...but on our terms. You have to believe...."

People actually complained about that scene. Honest.

GIRL YOU LOVE HIM. STOP BEING SO SHEEPISH.

I loved them all. The Garrus and Kaidan (romance and friendship) ones were very touching, especially Garrus. Liara's goodbye "gift" was pretty powerful and unexpected on my first play through, and definitely my favorite interaction with her in the trilogy.

Edit: I agree with Belisarius25 on that pointless turret.  It added nothing, and distracts from what is supposed to be an emotional and personal moment for Shepard.

I like it....it gets me emotionally every time...I just wish I wasn't made to feel so rotten when Shep turns Liara's gift down...:(...otherwise I am touched all the way.

The goodbyes are cute, but sorta rediculous.

Thanks for helping with the final push everyone!

I think we were supposed to imagine the old crew fighting.

All I can see is Jacob taking hits and going down and being as entirely useless as he was in ME2.

Yes I agree, one of the genuinely well-crafted moment of the trilogy, definitely. But, I must say, that a few of them could have had a better final speech. It was awesome, overall though.

It reminded me a bit back in ME2's suicide mission when at one point the camera is zoomed out enough and is positioned well enough so that you can see the entire team standing together (physically all there). At the time when ME3 had yet to be released that scene felt like a "final stand". Not a final "farewell" though, but more like "ok guys, we're here together for this one mission, but we may not come back from it alive, you know what is at stake, so focus", it was intense and it gave me goosebumps.

I think if people could accept that she's always "loved" Shepard (regardless if you ever romanced her) instead of thinking of her as a stalker/creeper, then the "gift" would be easier to accept for those that didn't romance her.

It happens in real life all the time. I'm sure many here can think of someone (in the back of their minds) who they've loved, and still have some love for, even though they could never be together.

She loves Shep.....but will always be his/her friend even if she could never have him/her

It's very, very good. Kinda feels like you are in the eye of the hurricane.
