I definitely blame you for selling Legion.

Sad part was I didn't even realize he was an ally until I saw my brothers playthrough, "What's with the walking flashlight?"

"Oh didn't you know, you reactivate the Geth, he wants to be your friend, and he's a kick a** sniper."

:crying:

lol.
The converstaions with him are some of the best in the game too.

Let's be honest, we all made some dumb choices in our first playthroughs that came back to bite us in the rear in ME3, and while we went back and fixed what did wrong, we all screwed up our first few playthroughs. So what decision do you regret the most?

For me, selling Legion to Cerberus. I had no idea that he was a friendly Geth (after playing insanity in ME1 can you blame me?) and I was seriously strapped for cash. Well, no peace between the Geth and Quarians for me, sorry robot bros, but I coudln't betray Tali.

My first playthrough of ME1 i never realised you could romance people. So that was probably my biggest mistake ever. I never spoke to the crew between mission. Well I did but only once or twice.

My first playthrough of ME2 half of my squadmates died on the ME2 suicide mission.

My first playthrough of ME3, Kelly died because I told her not to change her ID. That really hurt. And I also missed Conrad Verner conversation..

Oh and I picked destroy instead of refuse. But refuse wasn't in the game then so..............

Uh... encourage the Quarians into the War with the Geth... Chose Miranda as the Biotic Shield lady in the Suicide Mission lost Garrus... Sent Zaeed back to the ship lost Mordin.... Thane went in the vent because he was sneaky... And... did one mission after the crew was kidnap and lost Kelly and half the crew.... You know I wish I have kept that file... but then again it wouldn't matter because Mass Effect 3 is a great place to start because nothing matters in the end.

I won?

You mean I get to live for a few more excruiatingly painful seconds while I lie in rubble before I bleed out and die?

As opposed to just dying?

Really?

It's interesting to see that so many actually lost people on the suicide mission.

I guess my worst decision was to treat ME1 and 2 like games and not role-play enough. I did every single mission in both games and was really shocked when I later read about ME2 and realized that you could actually lose people on the suicide mission. I thought that Bioware made it too easy to complete it without anyone dying and it seemed like you actually had to try to get anyone to die, but since quite a few actually lost at least a few unintentionally I guess I was wrong.

It's more of a win than refuse is. Time me, at least.. You're winning for the galalxy and the cycle. Not Shepard.

There isn't an ending where Shepard personally wins, as far as I'm concerned.

Synthesis - DEAD
Control - DEAD
Refuse - DEAD
Destroy - ambiguous - oh boy, my favorite!

I don't like any of it either, but I feel like Destroy is the lesser of the four evils. In Destroy, you will for the rest of your cycle - at a steep price, but you put an end to the Reapers. That's good enough for me. In Refuse, you will for your ego.

Shepard's personal fate doesn't seem to be a concern for BioWare  - which is a problem. Have to take what we're given, I'm afraid.

As for the topic at hand:

My worst decision would be destroying the genophage data (and importing it into ME3 as my first playthrough), I suppose.

I disagree only because for Organics and Synthetics to coexist, the galaxy needs the Geth. They could stand as a flagship race of synthetics that could guide other synthetics that get created into individual sentience.. And by extention, proper sapience.

I don't like dooming the geth to extinction either, but in Refuse, there is not sentience or proper sapience to be had. There is only the death of an entire cycle. Including the geth. The asari. The turians. Everyone.

I always reference this quote, so I'm going to do it again. Victory, on the Prothean planet during the From Ashes DLC:

"Their sacrifice will be honored in the coming empire."

Is the pride of not sacrificing an entire race for your own conscious worth the extinction of the entire cycle?

Let Thane into the vent, I mean come on, he's a assassin and should be used to it.

Thats about it, everything else turned out fine, which is surprising since i did do some reckless things like trusting the rachni and romancing Tali knowing the risk.

Sending Thane into the vent, probably not the best call...

Second, getting Jack to lead the second fire team. Also not a great call.

Taking Jacob at his word (when he volunteered) and sending him into the vent... oh, sorry, that wasn't a mistake...

Actually, I regret nothing! Shepard doesn't know it, but I meta-ed the hell out of all their playthroughs. I am the true Catalyst!!11!!111!!

No mistake that.
Bearer of bad news and all that.
He's lucky Shepard didn't have molten silver on hand.

My biggest mistake was not 'romancing' Kelly in ME2, so I didn't see her in ME3 to warn her about Cerberus.  I'm going to fix that in my next playthrough.
