Apparently a few people have discovered a game breaking glitch. How to avoid it? Do NOT save in Lumiose City, if you do there's a chance your game will crash next time you load the save up. The only way to fix it, should it occur is to delete your save. If enough word gets out though Game Freak should patch it in time so I wouldn't worry.

EDIT I contacted Nintendo about this, you guys should do the same. If enough people mention this to Nintendo they'll likely get Game Freak to release a patch to the game. Also spread word to other forums you know where there are Pokemon players, and tell them to do the same.

Lastly there is apparently no issue if you save inside buildings while in the city, it just seems to occur if you save outside on the streets. Next time you load the game up here's what can happen.

Thanks for this, perhaps I am lucky that have yet to save there at all. I've only saved inside the lab and the hairdresser. :happy:

There's also one more thing involving Lumiose City that one person had issue with, and that's roller skating into one of the lampposts and getting stuck inside it. If this somehow manages to happen to you I imagine you can just escape by using Teleport or Fly. If you don't have access to those moves at the time, just reset and continue from your last save, and I don't think I need to tell you that you shouldn't save.

Heh was caught up in a Seviper horde. There was a Zangoose in the horde so all the Seviper started to attack it instead of me.

Yeah, I've fought those hordes a few times while training Inkay and Pacham, it's great

In one, Zangoose used leer on all the Sevipers making them ready for my slaughterin'

I remember the GTS in the 4th and 5th Gen being rendered borderline unusable thanks to swarms of trolls asking for impossible (at least not without hacking) demands such as Lvl 1 Legendaries and what have you. People can't do that anymore in Gen VI I hope? For example nobody can request a Lvl 1 Yveltal or whatever.

You forget X/Y had a global launch, which is a first for the series. For older gens, the first versions of the games to come out were the Japanese versions, and thus they would have had a few bugs and glitches that would no longer exist in the finalised NTSC and PAL versions. X&Y have the glitches due to the simultaneous global release. Thankfully, due to being on the 3DS we can expect patches.
