Some details released.

Tsunekazu Ishihara

  • In addition to existing Pokemon, there will be a large number of completely new Pokemon. The additions will bring the total number of Pokemon in the franchise from the current 649 to over 700.
  • Because of  anime, movies, card game, and merchandise will “break into a new dimension.
  • People around the world will be able to simultaneously experience “Real Play.” (I’m assuming this is referring to the game’s global October release.)
  • The game will utilize the 3DS to its maximum abilities to leverage its overwhelmingly beautiful presentation.
  • The game uses an innovative communication system that makes it feel as if you are playing with other players around the world.
  • The bonds between players and Pokemon will deepen, and Pokemon will become stronger with the new battle structure.
  • Everyone will enjoy the game’s scenario and music.

Seconded. Fire Emblem is the ****. PoR and RD are probably the best Fire Emblems ever.

PoR is easily the best, but I didn't like RD as much. RD was pretty unbalanced between the teams, and laguz were not done as well as they were in PoR.

The Sacred Stones was pretty awesome as well.

Sacred Stones was also too easy to grind for.

I always thought RD did the Laguz better since you could decide when they transformed rather than it happening automatically. The Dawn Brigade was way too weak though (even if it is understandable)

The problem with Laguz in RD is that their stats doubled while transformed, which while allowing them to be powerful while transformed, also meant that they were very weak when in human form. Now if they just would have received a bonus to their stats like they did in PoR, then they would have been much better.

Someone should really make a Fire Emblem thread.

My first instinct is to get the grass one, but I could differ if the other starter evolutions are awesome. Y is the one with the bird. X is the one with the deer. It really depends on which types they are. (I know this because the bird makes a Y and the deer has x in its eyes. I could be wrong after the black/white thing though.)

I haven't played a Pokemon game since Platinum, but this may be the only time besides Gold & Silver that I will buy a Pokemon game first day.

While I heard some good thing about Black and White 1 & 2 I never feel the need to play them, but X and Y look so good that I'm going to borrow my brother's 3DS to play them.

@Roflbox Wow I never noticed that.

I got that exact same feeling! There's something about the Grass-type, that just makes me think it will be better than the other two, but I can't just sit on choosing that one, until I see the evolutions of all three.

Like with Black and White, I'm just gonna look at the list of new Pokemon, and see which 6 seem most desirable (or least stupid looking).

Either you're making a horribly incorrect (inaccurate?) prediction, or Pokemon is dead.

The link between aquatic starters doesn't seem quite as profound as the other two. Yea, they're all based on aquatic creatures... because they're water pokemon.

Look! Some more information! =D

I reckon Yveltal (click the damn link), looks like something out of Final Fantasy XIII. Bet it's gonna be Dragon- and either Dark- or Flying- type. And Xerneas (again, click the link I gave you) will be a Psychic- and Fighting-, Normal-, Steel- or Grass- type.

I'm guessing Yveltal will be Dragon- and Dark-, and Xerneas will be Psychic- and Steel-, in those orders.
