By the way, I recommend y'all do the Pokémon Amie minigames and feeding.

I've been doing it throughout the adventure and for a while now have had Absol love me completely. What has this done-

Changed dialogue entering a battle and during combat(ex- when in red, says she looks like she's about to cry)
Increased chance of critical hits(Absol is now a crit hit MACHINE)
Increased chance of evasion(dialogue states she read my mind and avoided the attack)
Chance of surviving a knockout blow(dialogue states she's holding on for me)
Animation changes(looking back towards me, having a heart icon pop when she gets a crit, evades, survives a KO, etc etc)

I'll be doing this now, seems lke a cool extra.

Also, that ghost seriously creeped me out. And WTFs with that giant dude?

Don't want to spoil it but the giant dude and what or rather who he is, is made rather obvious given the plot of the main story.

Yeah, the same, 3 Normal types

My friend code will be in my sig in a few seconds, much easier than typing it every time.

Ah, so he's not just some crazy cameo like the ghost girl then.

And I'm way behind in the main story, too many distractions like the PSS.

I liked Team Rocket because their goals made sense, they're the mafia of the Pokemon universe and that's it. No super ultra destroy-the-world plot for no reason, no ties to the legendary pokemon and the Giovanni being the Gym Leader plot twist was great.

I don't remember Second Gen's team or their motives, Aqua/Magma never made sense to me and Flare was just stupid and filled with Third Reich comparisons up the wazoo because "hey, they're evil".

Lysandre had potential but they had to make him into a hypocrite who controlled a bunch of incompetents that had the very same personality traits that Lysandre loathed and wanted to abolish, they didn't do anything with him and had to remind us he existed by having him randomly show up with holo calls.

On another note, Sycamore is the suavest of the professors and I love him.

Did some comparing of Xerneas vs. Yveltal by looking up what the competitive gamers were saying about the two and even got to watch a battle between the two.

Xerneas>Yveltal

Lemme say I was totally wrong about Geomancy, it definitely beats the hell out of Oblivion Wing

Xerneas is Fairy type, Yveltal is Dark/Flying. Fairy is 1x against Flying but 2x against Dark, meaning Yveltal can only do so much.

All it takes in a one on one is Gravity-Moonblast or a one turn Geomancy(if holding Power Herb)-Moonblast and its over.

Goddamn, I want to experiment on this.

Yeah, Lysandre's biggest character problem was that his team was almost for everything he was against.

And Second Gen's team was Team Rocket, just under new leadership of the top in place of Giovanni.

I am also going to reiterate how awkward it is with antropomorphic Pokemon in the Amie mini-game. Retraining a Torchic, and it's a Blaziken and I forgot to play with it, now I'm stuck doing it now.

Speaking of, Moonblast is a 95 dmg/100 acc Fairy type move, meaning 2x is 190 AND then there's same type attack bonus, which means really its 95 x 1.5 x 2, so its 285 dmg against Yveltal. Thats WITHOUT Geomancy.

Dear goddamned lord

Yveltal is a disappointing Legendary overall, he isn't uber-tier and falls short of a bunch of normal pokemon.

Xerneas is pretty good, shame he's the only half-decent fairy type pokemon stat-wise. Togekiss might be decent but haven't tried him yet.

Zegarde or whatever his name is... terrible, simply terrible. His stats are low, they're probably saving him for a mega evolution in Pokemon Z.

I don't like legendary pokemon anyways, they're always banned and their stats are locked-in from the moment you got them. Not enough poke-genetics at play.

I wonder if this could be the first Pokemon with actual DLC and Patches to improve things like Yveltal's blundering weaknesses, improve Zygarde as a whole, and maybe even add Mega Evolutions.

Walking around store, I saw the 3 starters and a Pikachu plush, might be a good gift for my younger siblings at one point.

For real, Yveltal gets trashed by Xerneas.

Hell, the Z one? Zygarde, is that its name? Its Ground/Dragon supposedly? If so, even THAT gets trashed by Xerneas.

Speaking of weak typings, feel bad for the Gras/Ice Snover and Abomasnow. Takes 4x Damage from Fire attacks and 2x damage from SIX other types. Ouch. Grass/Psychic is just as bad. When it comes to the strongest type combo however Ghost/Dark arguably still takes it, despite the new single 2x weakness to Fairy. But then again I just remembered Honedge is Steel/Ghost, which has a whopping 3 immunities, seven resistances and one 4x resistance, Dayum. It does have 4 weaknesses though. As for unseen type combos, Normal/Ghost would be pretty crazy.

Damn Arc. Thats some good knowledge to have.

My team's got problems in that its typing isn't spectacularly varied.

Xerneas- Fairy

Gravity- Psychic(no damage)
Geomancy- Fairy(no damage)
Moonblast- Fairy
Megahorn- Bug

Lucario- Fighting/Steel

Power-Up Punch- Fighting
Dragon Pulse- Dragon
Aura Sphere- Fighting
Me First- Normal

Absol- Dark

Night Slash- Dark
Shadow Claw- Ghost
Psycho Cut- Psychic
Future Sight- Psychic

Charizard- Fire/Flying(Fire/Dragon when Mega Evolved X)

Flame Burst- Fire
Slash- Normal
Fly- Flying
Flamethrower- Fire

Delphox- Fire/Psychic

Psychic- Psychic
Psybeam- Psychic
Fire Blast- Fire
Flamethrower- Fire

Blaziken- Fire/Fighting

Slash- Normal
Blaze Kick- Fire
Sky Uppercut- Fighting
Ember- Fire

One question I now have to ask myself

WHY THE HELL DOES MY LEVEL 67 BLAZIKEN STILL KNOW EMBER

I'm not as far as you since I'm only just before the 5th Gym and Blaziken is only Lvl54, but I taught mine Blaze Kick, Low Sweep, Poison Jab and Slash so far. If you want to mix the move pool up a bit type wise you could teach Blaze or 'Zard Shadow Claw, it's pretty much the exact same as Slash but Ghost type.

EDIT Thinking of replacing Slash with Flame Charge but not sure. It's likely a great idea but I'm just hesitant to remove Slash for some strange reason.

I already have Shadow Claw on Absol though, so I'd rather switch it up. My girl is my crit hit machine, she's ALWAYS getting crazy amounts of crits, its insane.

Unless I take away her Shadow Claw for something else(though I think I'd rather rid her of that AND Psycho Cut for things of other types).

I'll have to think about it. Slash is my back up if nothing else will work, like Lucario's Me First.

Meanwhile when talking typing and stats, Gardevior has no x4 weaknesses, 3 x2 weaknesses, and receives a x.25 multiplier on fighting.

And it can learn a lot of good moves that are way out of it's typing, like Thunderbolt and Magical Leaf, even things that it has a weakness to, like Toxic and Shadowball.

Also learns Moonblast at lvl 85

I had an Absol in the Hoenn region that had fire, electric, ice, and grass type moves.

I believe Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, and some other, if thats even possible. Can't recall.

I do know its moveset was totally diverse.

Only three pokémon can learn Moonblast-

Sylveon, Gardevoir, and Xerneas.

Yeah, Gardevoir has been one of my faves since Gen 3 due to the diverse move pool, I'm using one in my team this time around too.
