Since I beat Pokémon: Fire Red on my tablet and moved onto HeartGold, after Emerald I think I'll buy a 3DS and play Platinum before getting X or Y.

I can play DS games on a 3DS right? Also I feel like I skipped a color...

Masuda'ing for a shiny Ralts right now, gone through about 400 or so eggs(I really should have started tallying them)

I don't even care if it's Male or Female, if it's male, I wanted to raise a Gallade, and if it's a female, great, I love Mega Gardevior's design

I tried the Masuda method but seriously got bored for doing the same thing again and again and again...at one point i had like 500 eggs and i just gave up and donated everything to the wondertrade.
I prefere to use the pokeradar. it's like doing a small mini game.

I tried that at first too, then it was irritating me how I couldn't get a Ralts to begin with, and that when I did, the chain never lasted more than 3

Oh yea, i get pissed when i can't even find the pokemon i want.
The worst is when you have a chain of 30 or above and it gets stupidly broken.
I still never found any with the pokeradar, the one i got was from pure luck.
I wish i could find a shiny haunter. Itself it's not that great but damn mega gengar is freaking badass. It turns all white.

I wasn't even using the pokeradar - I just kind of randomly landed a shiny wingull and a shiny tentacool while catching wild pokemon, heh. My friend who's some sort of uber-breeder traded to get shinies and got a shiny ralts recently. I think I'll try the Masuda method for the ralts later on - it looked pretty nice in the pics that I saw (and I like blue).
