From release day onward. I've got 6 characters under my belt. I stopped playing a week or so ago because I needed a break, and I'm now playing Mass Effect again in anticipation of ME2's release.

I'd say I've got well over 200 hours of gameplay out of DA:O, so colour me impressed.

87 hours on my first run. 73 hours on my second. Just started a 3rd run. I'll likely get sidetracked for a while when ME2 comes out, but I'll definitely be back at the game again after that (especially when Awakening is released).

Almost 80 hours in and still have stuff to do. This game reminds me of the glory days of rpgs that have depth to them in terms of play time. This is one game that you really get your moneys worth.

My first run took me about 50 hours. Subsequent runs are taking slightly longer as I discover more hidden quests. I'm up to the final battle on my fourth character, so I'm guessing I've about 200 hours under my belt. Probably more due to the number of times I've reloaded pivotal sequences to explore all plot and dialogue options. Already making plans for my fifth run...

70 or so on first playthrough, and have about 6-8 other characters with around 10-20 hours each[so whats that, hmm 150-200 hours?]. Taken a break for a bit, but going to return to rack up the hours soon:)

Forty-five. I was surprised, since they said up to 100 + hours of playtime.

Uh, total time...I'm not sure at this point, but I'm on my fourth playthrough (maybe I should total it up). It must have been 56-60-something (or more) hours the first time out. I suspect I've got well over 150+ hours in the game at this point however.

Hm a lot! Think I completed with 7 or 8 different chars and have started a lot of chars only to stop at various points, can't even imagine how many hours that comes down to. Now I'm taking a break, any game gets boring if you play it enough, but I will of course try out the new DLC and expansions coming out.

I too stopped playing it a week ago, and have played since it shipped 10/23/09. I can say I put in 12+ hrs a day 5 days a week since then. I had to explore every possable outcome, all the classes, all the origins, see what would happen with the different dialogs that i had a hard time saying. I have 600+ hrs in...... I must go outside now and see if the world is still there....*Squints from the bright light*

Different playstyles will cause different playtimes.

Those who just like combat most likely skip reading/listening to most things=less playtime
Those who love to get fully into the world wil ldevour everything they can=more playtime
Expereinced players.
New players.
Etc etc etc

Thats why l never judge a game by rumored playtime.

I've played through the game three times, and all have taken about 25 hours.

What surprised me was that my most recent playthrough only took 25:22. I was trying to get Easily Sidetracked and Mercenary, and therefore did more sidequests than usual (I didn't have the patience to get the achievement). On top of this, I decided to switch the difficulty to nightmare. I suppose using somewhat overpowered weapons from the Winter Forge and cheating to heal myself and sometimes change my class will speed things up a bit.

Also, lower difficulties will be much faster.  Disabling plot helpers slows down the game quite a bit (exhaustive searches of the Deep Roads take a lot longer than just travelling to a point on the map).  Some people also like to go back to previously visited areas to open unopened chests and look for new quests that may have popped up (again, without plot helpers this involves a lot of extra conversations).

I'm nearly 100 hours into my first playthrough and I'm not particularly close to being done.

What do you all do to get 70+ hours in a single playthrough, just read every codex? I feel I am missing a lot, but I know I'm not, makes me paranoid.

Anyway, first playthrough was 57 hours and I missed a lot of stuff.

Second playthrough was 50 hours and I did dang near everything.

Third playthrough was 43 hours and I did EVERYTHING except crows quests and rogue specific quests in Denerim.

And all that time is including my pause breaks (almost every hour) to have a smoke, and a couple times where I left it paused for an hour or so for dinner/cleaning/distraction related things.
