For the sake of appeasing myself, I'm going to believe that the clean up crew who had the responsibility of dumping Sovereign stuck him back together with a lot of duct tape for easy transportation :P

That scene actually didn't bother me because it occurs in a 'flashback' format while Liara is giving Vega and Treeya the backstory info dump. Since neither Treeya or Vega were actually present for the towing of Sovereign, its just what is being 'imagined' while Liara is telling her tale.

Hence Sovereign was not really fully intact. Its just how Vega or Treeya pictures it in their mind's eye.

That's a really great way of looking at it. I suppose if you look at it that way, it doesn't really break lore at all :)

Okay so, easy question, is it worth a purchase, or just a rental?

You only need to see it once, if hardly. Its neither good nor bad, and is full or errors and things that does not make sence :D.

Overall it could have been better, yet again it could have been worse, so give it a try if you have nothing else to do, and need to kill some time.

I've now seen PL.

Asside from some of the Lore breaking stuff it isn't that bad.

About that "Biotics need power cells" thing: I think the bio amps or biotic implants need power cells so that isn't breaking lore at all.
But the movie has some other problems like a lot of people already said.

I thought it was a good 'movie' to watch, it makes James a much more interesting character, and it was fairly well made. The only thing which I thought that was kinda strange when I saw the movie, is that James is an entirely different person in the movie than he is in the game. In the movie he is a Shepard fanboy, who is truly loyal to his friends and a good leader. In ME3 he is just plain annoying and macho. The connection is missing between 'James the Normandy4Ever guy' and James the 'Let's fight in the cargo bay' guy.
