I personally thought it was fine. They kinda pulled a skyrim and seemed like they put higher rez textures up-front, zoomed things out a tiny bit, and put low-rez everywhere that wasn't in direct immediate view.
I think Mass Effect 3 graphics are garbage

I didn't notice.
Which means they aren't standout good. But it also means they weren't terrible either.

Well, I don't think I would describe them as "garbage," but there was (weirdly) a noticeable step down from ME2.
I guess an EA-mandated rushed production will do that.

The animations and inconsistencies are what bother me. I'm not so fussed by the low-res textures. The downright horrid walking animations and weapons disappearing, reappearing and being replaced during cutscenes take me out of the experience more than anything.

One of the devs said PS3 performance was the biggest obstacle during development.sammysoso wrote...

That's the beauty of Texmod. All of my textures now run at 4096x4096. SO CRISP!

They were alright. Not great but not horrible

Very much agree with OP. Absolute garbage. Don't even get me starting on clipping through the Captain's cabin into the bulk head/outer space...

I thought the graphics were pretty decent, except for the textures. But seriously the game's great overall so who cares? And the voice acting largely makes up for it.
It would be nice, however, to get a high resolution textures DLC, like Bethesda released for Skyrim. Pretty please Bioware?

Bioware has done that itself, with DA2*. However, I think we would've heard something by now if there was going to be one for ME 3, considering the end of the DLCs.

I liked the slightly darker theme of ME3 graphics over ME2. Otherwise I had no issue that texmod can't help fix with some hi rez mods in any of the ME games. Only thing I hate are jaggies on armor/uniforms during a close in cut scene. Now that gets me mad.

Not a fan of Texmod myself, due to the load times. Fortunately, modders have figured out how to alter the textures directly ithout the need for Texmod. I have some updated tectures myself, and the game looks a lot better while still maintaining 60 fps at 1920x1080.

Which mod are you using?
