On gold matches I'm usually last around 50-70k and winner is usually 90-120k. I usually have multiple medals . Its not great but I'm trying to get better at gold.

Silver is random , depends on my kit and weapon etc . I almost never come first or last, usually 2 or 3rd and close to the top players

Nope. I have to be on a very solid team in order to come in last and none of those solid players actually care where they are on the scoreboard. Of course, there are some people that like to leave objectives to go kill (not even blocking the nearest spawn to said objective) and even if they get first on the scoreboard they are still bad in my eyes.

Not at all, some days you are the dog and somedays you are the hydrant:)

We play for fun, I have people on my FL that I will never touch score wise and I think that is great, it gives me something to work towards, watching what they do and how they do it, working on kits that I am not good with, the high rick/high reward ones.

If someone on the team complains that they are last, I am very quick to tell them it doesn't matter, are you having fun and are we paying you enough:)

as long as number 1 score inst double or triple your score it doesn't. If it is you either dont belong playing that difficulty or you had a really bad game and need to step it up a bit.  I have a few friends who I rarely can beat and if 2-3 are in same lobby I may be last.

Score matters, but to be honest I'd rather have fun with weird builds than compete for first place. As long as the contribution is enough that you're not being carried then who cares.

Not really, I've been playing with a lot of BSNers on PC who are dammm good and I have to get used to not scoring 1st all the time now.

Not true in the least. I would much rather have a teammate that comes in fourth by a decent amount that isn't needing to be revived 15+ times a game, that helps with objectives, etc. than someone who comes in first by charging spawns killing half of it then dying every single time and score ****s on objectives.

Depends on the situation:

1st: 108k
2nd: 93k
3rd: 84k
4th: 70k

It's cool. You were a great supportive player.

-

1st: 120k
2nd: 96k
3rd: 80k
4th: 30k

You caused the team grief and aren't ready for that difficulty.

This. It depends on how far behind everyone else, really.

If I'm fourth my build needs to be optimized, as does my loadout and playstyle for the build.
I.e 4th by a large margin = Back to the drawing board Ziegrif.

Doesn't matter, it just means you were the worst player on the team.

Damage output depends a lot on weapon and class and sometimes you play the game for fun and not to deal the most damage. I think how many times you were revived or end up bleeding out are a much bigger indicator of how you affected the outcome of the match.

If you're playing in a group of some really good players? No.

If you're playing in a group that can barely complete Silver? Yes.

Score only matters in a match which goes badly... for most matches which are completed it usually doesnt mean much.

What matters is if you made a valuable contribution to the team or not.

I care more about if the game was fun rather than where I ranked on any sort of scoreboard, or if I won in a PvP game.

Though I'm told that I'm weird.

What a weirdo

:P

Someone has to come in last place and if the game went well, you had fun and your weren't a burden to the rest I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Just as long as the bottom guy has a few medals, it's fine. If he has none... You just carried him, and he should feel badly.

This I agree with and try to treat each match, no matter difficulty, that way.

I usually come in 1st or 2nd , but its really not about which place you come in the score cant really account all the time if a player dragging the team down or not, my reason behind that is the following I was playing a pick up game few weeks ago, I mainly play Hsol. we had an Asari , Havoc , and volus, the Asari was 1st followed by my Hsol, Havoc and volus last....the volus played support role healed us revived us and took care of most the device assignments and pick up assingments.
So this caused him to have less kills but during extraction and boss kills he was right there, but son as we get in the lobby the other two players wanted to kick him, I thought it was wild he healed us revived us and so forth, he didn't care about kills....why are ppl such as***les?

I've played a few games with Salarian and Volus engineers that focus on supplying cover fire, revives and decoys to take the pressure off the rest of the team and frankly those have been some of the most enjoyable matches simply because the teamwork was near perfect thanks to amazing support. The support roles don't score well but they make the waves incredibly easy.

Now the people who die 5+ times a wave are another matter entirely unless they are intentionally trying to give me revive medals in which case please do it away from the Banshees.

I try not to, but sometimes I'm playing with good people and it happens.

Other times I play with really, really good people, and its inevitable lol.
