I started with Serious Sam: The First Encounter on PC. And I've got... 68 hours. I will say that for 68 hours I'm fairly good. I guess. Still not Platinum worthy, though. And, like I said, I can barely make it through Gold, and even then I need good teammates and my very best class, weapons, consumables, plenty of Medi-Gels and Cobras... yeah. Is there anyone here on Xbox willing to maybe help me out a bit? Or if not, give me some advice?NeferiusX3 wrote...

You know, even though I've played practically everything, even some really obscure Japenese titles for the Mega drive. I've never played a Serious Sam game before, in fact, I know nothing about Serious Sam other than he's some Duke Nukem wanna be with a South Park esq smiling bomb for a logo.Dr. McN1nja wrote...

How many is that now Dragon? I lost count!
I wasn't going to crow about it until he volunteered the info, but I was likely his first BSNer on the PS3, I'd wager, him being more of a PC man himself.
But I've gone and lost count now, Crimson. Got to go buy a bigger belt! I do admit the BioWare dev is my proudest achievement, though!

Our community has been graced!
He's actually more of a PC guy. But I was extremely honored to catch him on a very rare PS3 appearance.

My hands still hurt from the experience. It was FAR too large for me to handle.
I think I need to go get one of those smaller second party controllers, maybe I'll last longer. The default one is bloody huge.

Luckily my hands are nice and small, very rarely do I have to quit right when I'm in the heat of battle.

Seeing your battlemaster go flaccid as it dropped from its grip wasn't a good sight.
Had to solo the rest of the round. Wasn't fun.

He is the waaaaaaaaaaaay more skillfully talented DragonRacer of the XBox. LOL
Pfft gurl you know you got mad skillz too, you carried me to victory our first time!
Well, if nothing else, you knew you were in for an interesting ride when I finished my match, accepted your game invite, and dove into Wave 9 of your Dagger/Silver game loudly humming "Flight of the Valkyries" while I loaded in!

Practice and experience, friend. I know it sounds cliche, but that's just it. Period. I flailed around in Bronze, and then after a while everything just sort of "clicked" and fell into place. I stepped into Silver, got my head knocked in, retreated back to Bronze for a while longer with my tail between my legs. Then, tried Silver again and was better. Intuitively understood things more, could anticipate things unlike back in Bronze. I made good friends and improved. Then, dipped my toe into Gold with those same Silver friends, all of us learning and growing together.
Now? Now, sadly, a lot of my old friends have migrated to other games, but I hold the line. I play with my remaining friends and make new friends in Gold PUGs (or here on BSN)... or carry some Gold PUGs, as needed. With the occasional dally in Platinum amongst friends.
But really, it's just about experience and time. As you repeat the maps, the enemies, the characters, the weapons, you subconsciously pick up on things that make you better and better at the game. Only so much of it can come from knowledge gathered on the forums or from friends in-game -- although that VASTLY speeds up the process. The greatest teacher is yourself repeating your actions over and over again, until you feel at one with them.
Want to feel better about where you are heading? This was my very first post in the ME3 MP forums. Enjoy my noobness and look at how far I have come (and I am still only what I would consider above average for non-forum players and average among forum players). We ALL start there, even if some of the muckity-mucks here don't want to admit it.

OH. MY. GOD.
THAT'S where the Warden and Hawke are from the Dragon Age line! All this time, we thought they were kidnapped by Flemeth and locked away in some Hero's Dungeon of hers.
But no. They and the demo ME3 MP BSNers are trapped in BroJo's Canadian Basement of... Canadian-ness. Slowly drowning in maple syrup and pumpkin pie-flavored beer, no less.
