I met Ashen Earth, Uh Cold and Grammaton Dryad in a game once. I was playing as a level five Turian Infiltrator because I didn't realize it had been switched to Platinum difficulty from Bronze. I was more nervous about not dying than impressing people. Later that day they friended me.
In short, no, I was not nervous because I didn't know.

 So far I've only played with Beerfish. He played a Volus, and it was very easy to not die. Totally random PuG for both of us when it happened.

Edit: re: OP question - I wasn't nervous, I had a shield-boosting Volus spamming my fears away.

Most of the people I met from the BSN were through PUBs. I wasn't nervous at all. I dish out punishment to the enemy regardless who my battle's are.

No, why would I?
I do remember it was one of my first Gold games as Novaguard back when the game was just, and we had a full biotic going on. We just slaughtered the Reapers in the Reactor. One of the most fun matches I ever had.
I'm still playing with a bunch of those people from back then (almost every day), so yeah, they are really cool people and I'm glad to have met them.

We were fishing for bronze randoms and trying to stealth switch it to platinum for laughs.
Good game though, you did good for a level 5 char.

I don't really remember who I played with first but after I posted my volus platinum solo I got friended by a lot of the good players from BSN and played with them.

Nah. I used to regularly play with Bahroo3 back when he played a lot. He was the first to get a Platinum solo. I wasn't new to being severely outmatched.

Not really most are normal people like you or me. However, my experience with BSN'ers is rather limited considering most of my friends come from randoms in game, or from a group that operates independent from BSN.

I've played with quite a few people from here, developers included. The only time I felt pressure to perform was when I recently played with Red John (no fault of his, mind you). The guy is a bit of a legend around these parts, widely acknowledged to be one of the best players around, so you don't want to be something he has to carry around. That said I held my own just fine, and he's a really cool dude, so I had no problems getting back to comfortable fast.

Still, I tend to get more excited than nervous, its nice to know people in your PUG.

Played with so many that I didn't recognize until I found them here. It's interesting.

The first BSNer I met who had his mic in was SlimJim0725 on xbox, by chance, and Lord_Sirian on pc via Team AreleX. Then I pretty much just fell in with that crowd and now I can count on one hand the people on my friends lists who aren't from BSN.

it was either playing you first time or xcalizor in a pug match, i tried real hard. haha
