Not sure how I feel about the streetpass, mostly because I don't know of anyone near me that plays FESkelter192 wrote...

StreetPass characters will randomly appear on the world map, giving players the option to recruit the team leader with gold, buy any weapons or items the team is carrying or battle and win to recruit the leader for free.
This sounds pretty cool.

Spotpass is the good stuff, the characters and whatnot. All you need is an internet connection.

Doesn't really matter to me anyway, NP didn't exist in the UK and this won't be here either. Though we have lost NGamer some months back which is a shame, that mag and its team had class and was much, much better than Official Nintendo Magazine ever were/are. I remember them way back when NGamer used to be known as NGC Magazine, and even earlier than that N64 Magazine. I might have a few issues of that still knocking around, somewhere.

Probably nothing you couldn't already find out on the Internet at the right sites. It's been out in Japan for months after all, and there are plenty who imported. Here's a good amount of info without spoiling anything.

I don't have the patience to do that. My knights are stuck with their +1 Mag level ups.
I did however use Battle Saves in some of the early Dawn Brigade chapters. That group was made of glass and armed with toothpicks. Perhaps that's why the feature was introduced in the first place.

People would abuse Battle Save anyway. Don't like the stat growths you just got? Reload!

The worst is when you go through the game and your growths are so bad that characters WILL die.

Some characters are just trash to begin with, though. And I don't mean "Arthur from Shining Force" trash, I mean "Jogurt from Shining Force" trash.

We've all had those freak deaths before, like when an enemy crits one of your best units with a 20% chance to hit and a 1% chance to even critical hit. One could say its part of the FE experience. One of the things that doesn't seem to be coming back is RD's Battle Save feature, it's gone back to the old Suspend save method.
I believe that Battle Save will be available in casual mode.

While I've had instances of bad growths myself, I've never had it so bad that good characters become worthless. I know what you mean about abusing battle saves though and the Dawn Brigades frailty. There are only a few units in that group who actually turn out good, like Zihark, The Crimean Knights are kind of middle-of-the-road in terms of how good they are and the Greil Mercs are just way powerful in comparison. RD is just an odd one in the franchise in how it starts off hard and then gets progressively easier. Not that that's a bad thing. I could see it turning away a newbie player to the game though. Also Haar is God. The only thing that holds him back is Speed.
Dawn Brigade isn't that bad. Ignore Zihark (yes, I realize he's good) and you can have Nolan, Edward, Jill, Leonardo, and Aran as 20/1's by the final chapter. That does make Raise the Standard a pain in the ass, but I never have problems against the Laguz in 3/6 or at Nox. (even if the Greil Mercs recruit Zihark)
