Speaking of counter...
Noire got Counter from Vaike. She can damage close-ranged attackers even though shes a sniper. I highly recommend giving noire counter. Just a bit of warning, her parents will be very very angry. Tharja and Vaike are very angry characters and it even says so in their ending. They constantly rage at each other.

Shame I haven't played Path of Radiance or a lot of gamecube titles I've missed out on (SSB :'( ).

I'm thinking, just for story reasons and some training, if I should have Fred and Lissa (B support right now) hitched or just complete the game and do it in a replay. They're both incredibly squishy at this point.

PoR was really good, but RD was a low point for the series, IMO.

Can't, she's getting the old 'thunder axe' from Vaike, if you know what I mean *
But Ricken isn't alone, both Libra and Virion are not paired up with anyone either, though it would help if they could romance the children since I lost Brady during his paralogue to a tragic case of me not giving a damn and now Nah and Sumia's spawn are forever alone since Kjelle is romancing Gerome

Stats and classes aside, it doesn't really matter who marries who. Marry off everyone as fast as you can so you can get the fantastic children characters, then you can sideline all of the first generation characters and turn your enemies to mulch. 

...you must get Owain, Lissa's son. You must.  But if his dad's Fred, make sure he doesn't inherit Tomefaire. That was a bit of a bungle on my part.

And Fred is forever squishy. Just use him enough to get him married and then sit him in the barracks.

I'm quite content with Noire, Yarne, Severa and Lucina!Morgan. The 1st Gens I have are more than competent enough for endgame. Will probably do all of the 2nd Gens in the next playthrough.

On a completely unrelated side note, am I the only one who thought the generic Hero portrait had a scouter (HUD)?

I couldn't remember what the risen hero portrait looked like, but yeah, now I see it.

I find the warrior map sprite looks like it has giant googly eyes and a bushy white mustache. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Btw how do I recruit Aversa? Or is that DLC not out yet?

Aversa's released tomorrow. I'm hoping the conversation/bonds dlcs are gonna start next week.
