My new MU is going to be

Dread Fighter:
Limit Break
Aggressor
Lifetaker
Ignis
Aegis (Inherit to Morgan who is going to be a pegasus/dark flier)

And this is how you build an anti-mage. :D
I woulda gone with Tomebreaker but that wouldve overspecialized my character and he would die vs everything else that wasnt a mage. Him and Maribelle(Pegasus) will rush enemy mages together so ya.

EDIT: Holy crap I think I just broke Maribelle.

Dark Flier:
Renewal
Slow Burn
Lifetaker
Tomefaire
Galeforce

Feel free to use this build if you wanna destroy stuff with Maribelle. Note that her str is crap so just use tomes instead.

Anyways heres the maribelle Im using.

Falcon Knight:
Renewal
Relief
Bond
Dual Support +
Galeforce

This is more of a support build and Im focusing her more on Rescue. MU will rush the field then we switch over to Maribelle who will teleport spam units across the field.
I might replace Galeforce with Demoiselle to buff MU's murder ability..Does Demoiselle still work if she's paired up with MU? Or does she have to be on her own?

I love infinite regalia's story, especially where Chrom can't wait to leave

I don't know. I know it's not quite the same, but rallies affect rear characters in pairs...

I'll check this one out. Hang on.

Yes, it does appear to work with the Demoiselle character in the rear of the pair. The front character still gets the benefits.

Should we take the comments made during the Xenologues as Canon, such as one of the dead lords having exalted blood, or one of them crying to infer that Risen that are powerful enough are capable of emotions?

The Deadlords in Infinite Regalia are quite possibly Chrom and co. from Lucina's future, which would explain why all the kids seem to be reminded of their parents while fighting them.

Also, there are 36 of them. Adding up all the possible parents, you get...

36.

I don't think that your average Risen is capable of emotion, and they're not very good for conversation, as seen by countless Risen Chiefs saying stuff along the lines of "graaargh, kill exalt, graargh." The deadlords are special cases. Chrom and company aren't your average soldiers, so they're probably not so average in death either.

Hey guys I figured some awesomeness out. If you trigger Astra, theres a chance Lethality will trigger because astra isnt a skill persay but 5 normal attack.

Umm... no. Astra IS a skill. You can't trigger other skills during it. If you could, I'd be Sol-ing five times due to Sol's high percentage.

This is probably why Maribelle is MU's S-Support.

No i meant when Astra triggers, you do 5 NORMAL attacks. Any of those 5 normal attacks can trigger Sol or Lethality and or a critical hit.

You don't do 5 normal attacks. You do 5 attacks at half damage, that is what Astra is. Each hit does have a chance to critical, so that's something. Astra only really counts as "one" attack, it expends one weapon use and dual strikes will only activate after the fifth hit, if the enemy is still alive.

Sorry to rain on your parade. :(

+10 points for using Sniper Chrom at one point in time. It's something I should have looked into, he can't hit the broad side of a barn. But Aether is just so yummy...had to go Great Lord first. I think he's still stuck there.

Equip him with Aether AND Luna. For all the time Aether doesnt trigger, Luna will. :) Its the same reason why I have Ignis and Lethality for my Avatar. If Lethality doesnt trigger, theyre dead anyways with my spellsword bomb. Charm becomes useless for chrom early in the midgame and Id drop it for something else.

Anyways I switched out the Astra skills from Gaius with Pass and Kjelle with Quick Burn. Pass makes Gaius a murdertrain while Kjelle's quick burn makes her a literal dodge tank for the next 7 or so turns.

Now as for spotpass battles. Say my unit has a Sword and a Tome but he has the Sword equipped first. When will he switch over to his Tome? Or is there no point in having more than 1 weapon-type for Spotpass teams?

In a game that relies a lot on the enemy phase to do most of the killing, Galeforce is a bit too prized in my opinion. Maybe I'll see its true value in Lunatic.

On a side note, a minor lore question. Are Risen the fallen soldiers from the failed future?

Its suggested that they are. Theres a certain lvl farther along in the game and DLC stuff that hints that not only are the Risen fallen soldiers but also fallen heroes from different timelines.

Speaking of DLC, can you guys give me some strategy tips for the game? Like I didnt know the vast majority of killing was during the enemyphase, Id just leapfrog my units over each other and attack everything.

EDIT: btw Shep, how do u get screenshots of your game? Theres this fantastic S-Support dialogue between MU and Nah thats party temple worthy.

Be paranoid about reinforcements and have your squishier units like healers be rear-paired all of the time. If you don't like grinding, don't spread your XP too thin. Be patient and accept the few times the RNG goddess will screw you over (Random enemy crits...). All I've got.

If I'm not mistaken, the deadlords are from FE4. They just replicated them in IR to give players a challenge.

I used to use my terrible digital camera, but now they're mostly up on youtube. I'll still use my camera for shots of my avatar because of reasons, but they're a lot clearer on youtube.

Henry/Frederick and Inigo/Gerome are crying out for Party Temple. I had time yesterday, I should have done that. Oh well. Soon.

Oh, I know they were in a previous game, and while there are many holes in my interpretation (the 36 deadlords don't match the gender ratio of Chrom's company, where the heck did they get all those tasty weapons, etc) there are some quotes that heavily suggest we know who these deadlords are.

Yarne: Is one of you a taguel? I sense a presence not unlike my mother's... B-but no. That's not possible. I suppose it's just a relief to see someone beat extinction for a change

Gerome: Why does Minerva cry out in your presence, fiends? Have you put some spell upon her? The last time I heard her screech so sadly was when my parents fell...

Tiki: I...know you. That grisly guise you wear is not enough to blind me. You died to protect something. Will you now destroy it? Then I know I will stop you—to honor your last wish and defend the children.

So you never know... oh wait, here's another quote.

Gregor: Is that big, legendary weapon, or are you just happy to see Gregor?

He never disappoints.

On another note, I just got through picking up Inigo and I can tell these other paralogues are going to be a pain on Hard. I need to be sure most, if not all, of my units have a rating of 200+ when not paired up. Tiki's paralogue was no joke on Normal so I know it'll give me hell if I get to it.

Bah-ha!

This just supports my idea that they should have played a light/dark yin-yang with the Risen and Elo-whatevers. Elohim being spirits taken by Naga/the Light, Risen those taken by Grima, and their undead armies fighting eachother over the land and both causing harm to the locals in the way.

I just thought of an expensive way to cheese through Aversa's prologue, buy a lot of second seals and use them to convert everyone of you card units to clerics and then just have Chrom and another unit that can fight
I tried having just Chrom but it turned out poorly, all of the shadows became Chrom

I just put four people who could take a beating around her and used the rest to clean up the ranged attackers

That's definitely the problem. Not many people on my team can hold up against Rexcalibur, Thoron, and Bolganone attacks which I know there will be a lot of.

No, I would prefer to leave them in the outrealm constantly waging their own battles since the villains from previous games, especially ones who would side with Grima, are among the cards too. Also that would raise questions as to why warriors from other worlds (or at least times) were all the sudden revived.

This just in. Renewal > Lifetaker. If a character can respec into a War Monk/Cleric, it should just for Renewal. My new MU has no reason to be a death knight now.

I think the Risen are the evil versions of the outrealm cards tbh. Does that make sense?
