Deffinatly a bad idea since it seemes to me that challenge enemies are tougher than the ones you go thru for the map's chapter battle.

Don't get me wrong: Grandmaster is powerful. Ignis is beast for any child with good strength and magic, while Rally Spectrum is the best rally/support skill of them all, next to Rally Heart. It's just that if you're supporting with Rally, you're not attacking. And Aether should be attacking as much as possible.

My current avatar(10 tactician - 16 grandmaster - 16 darkflier - 16sage - 16sorceror - 20 bride... I have a life, I swear) skill set is Rally Spectrum, Movement and Heart, along with Galeforce and... Ignis? I think? Anyway, since she gains about 5 xp per kill now, I have her use her galeforced extra turn to use that pile o' rallies. It's beautiful. I broke my "always use tomes" rule for her to get rally heart. It's overkill, but I love it.

Homebound, I know you use Maribelle a lot, and I'm curious. What's her defense stat? Mine (10 troubadour - 16 valkyrie - 9 falcon knight) has a paltry defense of 10. She has the lowest defense on the entire team. I refuse to give her my stockpile of dracoshields until she apologizes for her general nastiness towards my avatar.

I'm just putzing around waiting for Priam's spotpass map and collecting the non-romantic supports from first gen characters, and I'd forgotten how fragile these characters are. I sat dread fighter Lon'qu on a fort square with a decent support character to draw in distant attackers, and he got butchered in two hits. I want to leave them in front so they can at least try to catch up to their kids, but they can't seem to hold it together. Perhaps I shouldn't be playing challenges on chapter 25 with characters that hadn't seen anything past... oh, chapter 13?

Henry's the only one on par with the children. His res is lacking now since I made him a warrior... but he seems to enjoy hacking things up.

Meribelle is all about resistance. Her Defense is crud and will stay crud throughout the whole game.

btw i broke Olivia the other day:

Dancer:
Special Dance
Pass
Lethality
Astra
Galeforce

Attack Someone with Dancer Olivia, trigger Lethality or Astra, a death triggers Galeforce then Dance for a unit.
Pass prevents her from being locked in which is a big no-no.

You know who I miss? Well, aside from Shinon and Haar?

Reyson.

But I think giving 4 characters second turns would be a bit much, what with the galeforcing and all.

Upon googling that image, I found there is a lot of disturbing fanart of him, most of it involving Tibarn. My eyes are bleeding. Make SURE safe search is on, kids!

Just finished for the first time. It was a lot of fun, but I somehow missed a few characters like Tharja, Gaius, Severa, and Cynthia. Will amend that in my next playthrough.

A little disappointed with the relationship system. Of course I want to see as much of the conversational content as possible. But gameplay wise, you're pretty much good to go once you've gotten hitched. I kept hoping for like some battle that automatically paired characters to their lowest ranked relationship. The S-Rank dialogue is also frequently and unintentionally hilarious. With some of them it was like watching a business transaction take place. Some of the characters also seemed kind of pointless. I've read that Anna is a Fire Emblem mainstay, but she only gains relationship rank with the Avatar, Tiki, and maybe someone else. Same for Say'ri, but I really liked her and wanted more conversations.

I also would've liked some reaction to the fact that everyone's getting married and whatnot. But with such a big roster that's probably asking a lot.

Shouldn't the children (except Morgan) all have some level of familiarity with each other? I mean, they were going through the apocalypse together and came back together, even if the gates dropped them all across the world.

UVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?! Astra is officially the worse trigger skill in the game. Lonqu triggered his Astra vs an opponent that had counter. Guess what? He ended up killing himself. That and the Miracle+Counter combo basically makes you a timebomb in Spotpasses for anyone with lethality.

unbelievable.

Moral of the story: Don't use someone with Astra to fight someone with Counter.

Fixed that for ya.

Counter Warriors can smell Astra. They'll run up and taunt a unit into using it, and more often than not, the unit will ignore the shouted warnings from their tactician not to do it.

Severa, Stahl and Owain have each fallen to Counter/Astra at one point, Severa twice. I have since benched her until she learns her lesson. Or until I get Morgan next thursday, whichever comes first.

It's not quite as bad as it looks.

Still can't figure out what I was thinking I paired him up with Morgan though.

@ homebound: pretty sure that makes Counter broken, not Astra or Lethality.

Heh.

I saw Inigo and F!Avatar, and it was hilarious. Well, all of Inigo is, but I just really, really wanted to see the age card thrown in here.

"You know I'm old enough to be your mother, right? No, seriously: I am as old as your mother."

It didn't happen, but it would have been epic.

I think the first gen characters are pretty young to begin with. In my second playthrough, Laurent was Gaius' son, and after Laurent tells his father he's been mucking about for five years looking for Lucina and the others, Gaius realizes his son is older than he is. I seem to remember reading that Lucina is 17. (I may be pulling this out of thin air, so don't assume this is her actual age) If that's true, it would make Laurent at most 22, which is older than Gaius apparently.

Are there character ages anywhere? Now I'm curious.

well i judge chars by their sprite model. Lucina has a middle sprite so that puts her below 21 but above 16. 18 is a good number. Chrom is probably in his early-mid 20s compared to m avatar who has an adult sprite putting him at the age of 30.
then i look at donnel who is probably 15

at this point ive made a scale of ages and compare characters with the established ages ive estimated. Lissa is older than ricken for example and maribelle is older than lissa. Donnel is younger than lissa which makes ricken the youngest character in the game at 13-14.after ch10 he will b 16 and no character will b that young any longer.

You clearly forgot our favorite Dragonkin, but who's counting them? I'd throw Say're there as well: she seems older than most the cast, at least.

I've got no idea how old Panne is supposed to be, though. Mature, yes, but any clue on what her lifespan even is?

i mentioned Nowi Dean. :P shes like 2k years old. She probably went to kindergarden with FireEmblem Jesus.

Panne Id say is 31, Say'ri 28. Im guessing Taguel have a lifespan of 120 or so years. But now on to what i wanted to mention.

the exp and gold dlc arent worth it. u can lvl up your characters faster via reeking boxes.

I'd almost agree on EXPonential Growth, as you can only use 6 people at a time, but the enemies are all Entombed, which are guaranteed to give you a pile of experience. It's really quick, too, especially if you want that last level to get a skill or what have you. I still prefer reeking boxes, for the sole reason of being able to use twice the people.

Reeking Boxes cost 4800 gold. Unless you're rich to begin with, you'll quickly run out of money while grinding, especially near the start. Golden Gaffe is almost necessary for early game grinding, then you can coast on your winnings for the remainder.

oic. I play on casual which means it costs 500gold...I c where that deficit comes in. 4.8k per box and u get like what? 5 small bullions? u pretty much break even at best dont u? I guess this dlc is for the hardcore peoples.

Shep does my teambuild work in HC?

Well, I meant Tiki. Who actually is FireEmblem Jesus in Awakening.

Depends where you are in the game. Golden Gauffe is better for money grinding in a lot of ways, and both are good in terms of being relatively fast rather than tedius grinds.

Plus, they're hilarious. Chrom gets more humor in those three DLC than in the rest of the game, and the context of it all is just pure fun when you start reading what everyone's motivations are. The people with complexes are the best, especially Morgan's Daddy Complex.

You don't even get 5 small bullion in some cases. You can actively lose money on the other difficulties.

So unless anybody here is already following this method to fill the support log, some have found a way to fill the log out in a short time, compared to how it would take by doing it normally.

"1 - create FeMu on a normal+casual file
2 - go through all the way to CH11 with Chrom not getting any support points from any of the female units (exception being his sister)
3 - get to the end of chapter 11, with 1 enemy unit left, Chrom and all 6 female units alive, then quicksave [QS1]
4 - choose 1 of the girls, pair her up with Chrom, and kill the enemy
5 - fill out all of these supports after chapter 13: Lucina+mom, Lucina+sibling, chrom+other child
6 - select the quicksave [QS1]
7 - repeat 4-6 until all 6 wives have been choosen
8 - kill the enemy without Chrom being paired up (you should get a generic villager for a wife)
9 - unlock every unit except the second gen units (ie, only have Chrom be married, and to the generic villager)
10 - quicksave [QS2]
11 - give FeMu S with first husband you choose
12 - fill out Morgan (M)+father support
13 - select the quicksave [QS2]
14 - repeat 11-13 until every husband possible has been choosen
15 - marry off everyone however you choose, but marry off FeMU to a first Gen unit.
16 - fill out every support between all the second gen units (quicksave, build support from A to S, view support conversation, save, go back to quicksave)

-you should now have 100% FeMu, Chrom, Lucina, and Morgan (M)

17 - create MaMu on a normal+casual file
18 - unlock every unit except the second gen units, same as before, remembering to marry off Chrom to generic villager
19 - perform steps11-14 with MaMU and Morgan (F)
20 - marry off MaMU so someone who will not produce another kid from first gen (Anna, Tiki Aversa, ect.)
21 - perform step 16 for the first gen charactures, but, whenever you marry off a unit, before going back you your quicksave, fill out the father support for the child unit unlocked

-everyone should be at 100% support other than Morgan (F)

22 - marry off everyone however you choose, and unlock all of the second gen units.
23 - finish Morgan (F)'s support log

Congratulations! You have now 100%ed the enormous support log built in this game!
