I'm a bit weirded out by Morgan. S/he seems to have a very weird parent complex, although Morgan/MU wouldn't be the first incest romance. Brother and sister can actually marry in the Holy War one.

I'm enjoying Morgan/Lucina sibling relationship more than them as a couple. It would have been awesome if Morgan were allowed to weird Falchion after Lucina/Morgan A support. He's a Marth descendant in this particular timeline. 

Ya...As far as Incest shipping goes, I draw a thick, brick line at Parent-child ships...Thats just creepy.

I absolutely love (F)Morganom's Supports with Romance Owain and Sibling Owain.  And Maribelle from what Ive seen so far is her best mommy. :3

You are correct that 2/3 generations are the best since they can inheret the best skills there are the their stats are usually a bit higher.

Actually the the ultimate Morgan would be Chrom/Inigo/Morgan. Morgan would have great stats as well as galeforce and Rightful king from the Inigo and Avatar. This would result in Ultimate Morgan, Super Inigo and Lucina, all with Galeforce and Rightful King. They can solo everything once they pair up with S support, Limit Breaker, and proc skills of your choice. 

Honestly, once you get past the first 3 chapters, you can grind til you're OP and the rest of the game should be very easy. Lunatic + should be left to the children though, IMO.

(Rogues and Redeemers 3) I personally never bought those as I was afraid I'd abuse the hell out of them, and I'd already spent my e-shop funds on Crimson Shroud anyway.

Here's all the DLC that's out in North America. There's an upcoming set, called "Future of Despair" in Japan, that seems to be more connected with the actual game's story, unlike the rest.

Hence the "Second best". But I'm not sure of that even.

I think I'll hold off of Lunatic+. There's only so much counter I can take.

I think Lunatic+ encourage range weapons. Armthrift is pretty important if you want to use rare range weapons. Renewal is pretty much mandatory in Lunatic+. Anyway, even with Lunatic+, once you're passed the first 3 chapters, the rest should not be too hard if you use the right skills and mostly second and third gen characters.

There's a lot of dialogue in Harvest Scramble that I wouldn't have expected coming from a Nintendo game. You have children getting drunk, Vaike spreading gay rumors about Lon'qu and Stahl's steamy history with women.



..yeah, the Stahl thing doesn't really happen, but the other two do.

Well, it's kinda true since Morgan as a Manakete would be pretty broken, combine with Galeforce and limit breaker. She can do some serious damage, although even Manakete Morgan can't solo Lunatic+ by herself, especially not the Aversa stage. I'm a bit iffy to pair Nah or Nowi with anyone though. Lunatic+ is pretty easy once you know the breeding types.

She won't have Rightful King though, and that's one of the best skill in the game. I think Lucina's daughter would be good, but won't be the best. Nah's Morgan would be stronger than Lucina's from my experience.

Rightful King is only useful if you have at least 2 activation based skills, and even then only adds a 10% chance of use. Aether(the best attack skill in the game) is a much better choice for Morgan. Not to mention with Limit Breaker, Morgan will be activating Aether around 25% of the time anyways, in addition to being almost untouchable and cutting through most foes.

And the stat caps for a Chrom/Olivia Lucina are very high and Morgans are even better with a +Speed, -Defense Avatar.

Oh yeah, there is that too. Pair Chrom with Olivia like you also said and give the avatar the right stat parameters and Morgan will wreck all the things.

Well, once you maxed out the skill, the 10% boost makes a big difference, although once you max out your stats cap, the rest of the game should be relatively easy, save for some DLC levels. It doesn't really matter which Morgan you have.

I feel silly asking this after all this serious Morgan stat talk, but anyway...

if you use a male avatar, do your children have your hair color or their mother's? I seem to remember someone saying they had their mother's, but I want to be sure.

I'm totally not trying to make Gerome a pink-haired jerkass sniper. Totally not.


Re: Morgan, my first playthrough I had a Chrom/Morgan, I honestly don't remember what he inherited as it wasn't planned, but it never mattered. he decimated everything on hard.

I really should look at his stats.

This playthrough, once I finish Priam's supports, I think I'm going Owain/Morgan or Inigo/Morgan. Yen'fay/Morgan is also in the running because I lurve him, but he doesn't have bonus dialogue in the bonds dlcs, while Owain and Inigo do. How's THAT for tactics?

I'm sure squeezing out every last stat point is useful on lunatic, but once you start hitting green numbers on hard, you're not losing a battle unless you stab yourself.

Or you think shocksticks are ranged weapons.

I've never tested this because I don't usually venture too far off the class tree. Do characters internally keep their proficiency for a type of weapon even after changing to a class that doesn't use it?

Still want a flying archer though. It'd be an interesting unit, I think, especially if there are some on the enemy side too. Whoever shoots first wins, most likely, so you'd have to really plan ahead.

edit: yes they do keep their weapon levels, Legendary.

Flying archers? Not sure. I guess they design classes like that. Apparently a flying archer would be as much an oxymoron as an armored spellcaster, no matter how awesome they both sound.

I was thinking about armored spellcasters as well, but the idea of them just doesn't work for me.

Usually you see mages wearing robes for ease of movement, big clunky armor would just hinder them.

But a flying archer? Why not? Well...you have the constant bobbing up and down of your dragon/pegasus that can screw with your aim, so, okay.

...I still want one. horridly inaccurate and all.

The Archer-mounted hyppogriff unit from Warcraft 3 comes to mind. Why do Pegasi, Griffons and Wyverns have to be up in the air all the time during animations? Didn't do that in the GBA games.

Am I the only one who wants a wolf-mounted unit or Risen enemy? I'm just getting tired of horses.

I wish they would create a female equivalent of Dread Knight that wasn't that frikin bride!
But while I'm at it, I wish the extra map characters had more supports than just the Avatar, and that there was aftergame DLC campaigns
Also I wish there was a kitty myrmiridion, named Mittens, who makes a lot of puns but isn't romanceable (sickos)
That last one is probably more likely to happen then the first.

I would prefer getting light magic back...

Everyone: What would your perfect FE be?

Mine would have the Avatar as the "lord", use a dialogue system similar to BG, and give a choice of several unique classes at character generation for the Avatar's main class.

I think the world map and class changing system from FEA are amazing, but I would have the XP rate be capped at 20/20 to avoid the 8XP per kill crawl that happens after reclassing twice.

Balancing wise, I would adjust the stat caps of every class, adjust Galeforce and Counter, reduce the number of skills each class gives to one, and have several skills moved to scrolls that anyone can use.
