By supports?
I like Lon'qu and Panne, Kind of sweet how they get over their pains because of each other. Gregor and Cordelia made me like Gregor even more. He is swell guy, yes?

I'd have to think on it, as right now the only thing fresh in my mind is Fred/Chrom from harvest scramble. ;)

I do remember liking Lon'qu/Lissa, Gaius/Maribelle and Gregor/Tharja.

My least favorite is easily Nowi/Gaius, with Nowi/Lon'qu right behind. Just.... stop, Nowi.

My current MU is probably gonna married to either Basilio or Gregor, haven't really decided yet at this point.

As for support between other characters. I like Sumia/Henry. The Freaky Friday switcharoo scene was pretty funny. Chrom/Sumia bores me to death though.

Frendship support wise, I like Anna/Tiki. Probably my favorite support in the game. Who knows a Mary Sue character like Tiki can be funny. I'm pretty sure Cherche is the chairman of "People for the Ethical Treatment of Wyvern".

I like Tharja's mance with Donnel. Again Donnel and Frederick. The way Tharja plays with Donnel in her fingers and the image of Frederick making Tharja do pushups is hilarious.

Does anyone have an ideal reclass tree for Cherche, basically one good enough to be passed on to Gerome? Healing classes... ugh...

Gerome's one the worst children character for me. Since Cherche can't have Galeforce, he can't have it either. Although Virion seems to provide the best stat caps for him if you choose him as Gerome's father. Most of the skills Cherche could have, Gerome could learn them as well, although I would pass down Miracle and Renewal or reclass Cherche to a valkyrie to pass down those skills since they're female exclusive skills.

Renewal might be a good skill. That and a father with Bowbreaker would make a fine Gerome. Unless you have Donnel. I was an idiot not to pass down Aptitude.

 Just finished the game.
Fantastic ending *SPOILERS*, I sacrificed myself to kill Grima for good, and while it was "just a disney death", at least there was actual closure, unlike a certain ending in ME3 where Shepard wakes up in a pile of rubble...

I did find Normal/classic a bit too easy though, going to start a new game on Hard/classic then Lunatic/classic once I'm ready for that.

Could someone explain why the heck everyone believes Marth is a man, when she speaks in a womenly voice and has a woman's body feature? And why is Marth a woman in the first place? I thought Marth was a man (or is it something that is only in Super Smash Bros.?)

Anyone know if there are similar games like Fire Emblem Awekening for PC, PS3 or Xbox? I sadly can't afford a 3DS right now, and would love to play games like these.

Marth is a man. "Marth" is a woman. =]

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgement is available on the PSN and Xbox Marketplace. It's a tactical RPG like Fire Emblem. I haven't played it myself, but I love the Vandal Hearts series. I'd look up on it, the first two games were excellent. (They were PS1 titles)

There's also XCOM: Enemy Unknown, if you don't mind the sci-fi setting. I personally hate sci-fi, and still couldn't put down the controller.

Well *SPOILER....ish*

It isn't really Marth. It's actually Chrom's daughter just disguised as him basically. But as far as your "why doesn't everyone notice this is a girl?!" question idk. I love the game, i really do, but that really bugs me.

As far as games that are similar to it there aren't a lot that i can think of but Spectral Force 3 is kinda similar. Then there's Vandal Hearts Judgement(I think?) that's an xbla title that is pretty good. That's all i can think of now but if any come to mind later i'll let you know.

Ah I see. Thanks for the clarification! People sure are oblivious when it comes to "Marth's" identity, lol. Then again, I found Chrom to be quite a pathetic character, or at least as far as I've seen.

And thanks for the Vandal Hearts suggestion. Gonna check on that.

The game is made in Japan, and some Asian faces can be pretty androgynous. Some of the Japanese male voices can have high pitched as well, many animes with male protagonists are voiced by females. I think even if the game is set in Europe, the influence is still originated in Japan. That would be my guess.

I'm aware of that, heck Goku and other characters in DBZ are voiced by a female, but the way it is in the english version, and how nobody notices (the body features are not even male) makes me shake my head. Though it's not really that big of a matter.

Marth himself isn't exactly Super Macho Man.

I would have thought she was a young boy had I not been spoiled about 8000 times over before the game came out.

You know, I'm surprise at how popular Chrom is. He seems like a generic Japanese protagonist, but I guess that's his appeal. I would have thought that Aversa would be more popular. The children characters seem to rank pretty low, even Morgan.

The fact that Yen'fay finished dead last kinda stings though. He needed more content.

I could get why Owain and Inigo rank first since they have that dorky appeal. Yen'fay didn't have a lot of supports and conversations, so it's understandable. I'm more surprise about Yarne though. He has a lot of development, but I think his coward personality turns people off. Based on this poll, we learn that Japanese love blue hair.

Well, that and Chrom is pretty much tailored to aspects that male players like as well: bromance, supportive, non-confrontational, and never competitive over the love interests.

I know I didn't like him originally, but using him in battle and pairing him with Lucina (no incest is going to happen here Owain) made me like him a lot more

I actually like how Marth isn't a macho titan but is still the most prominent Fire Emblem character even towards the western audience. He even wears a tiara.

And how can Gerome possibly be low? Grrrr.

His general douchebaggery may have something to do with it. But his supports with Inigo are priceless.

That said, I don't like him that much either. I like him more than Yarne. (I literally cringe every time I hear "don't mess with a bunny!")

He's pretty much the male equivalent to Severa for me. Annoying in different ways, but annoying all the same. Shinon did the "I don't need friendship and teamwork" thing much better. Gerome beats you over the head with it, and it gets tiresome. Sure, he opens up if you give him time, but...ugh.

Gerome's thing seems to be the brooder. I think his lamentations about the future and his parents being "deeaaad" come off as more believable than those of the other children. Severa was just plain annoying about it.

Believable or not, every time he does that derisive little "phh" I want to break his nose.

It's all an act, anyway. You can't be dark and brooding and still call your wyvern "Minervykins." ;)
