I think I 'gasmed just a bit at the new trailers. I really do hope though that the non JP version of If will be combined into one game, because otherwise that's a pretty stupid move, at the very least outside of Japan.

I saw the FExSMT trailer and was... confused. Was April fools in full effect? I couldn't find anything Fire Emblem or SMT about that trailer.
I'm not a big fan of "grimdark" but it seems to go a little too far in the other direction.

There was a lot of Tiki and what I presume to be Shiida.

^ Or Caeda, apparently if you live in the US. Never understood where they got that from considering her Japanese name is Sheeda.

It's what they're doing already with at least the Japanese version:
There you have to choose between either version, after which you can buy the other as dlc at a "reduced price" of 1800 yen (rounded down), and a third campaign after that for another 1800. I'm not sure how Nintendo will translate those prices, but that means the full experience here will at least be 75 bucks in the best case scenario of each dlc campaign being costing "only" 15, possibly up to 85 if they decide the fans are dedicated enough to milk like that (they probably are).
This is literally one of the most retarded things I've ever seen in my life but I'll probably forget about buying this game since it's not coming out for another year anyway. But if I do remember it, I'm not buying it.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but the enemies can pair up now.
Kill 'em before they strengthen their bonds!

Gamespot and IGN is referring to it as a single game with two campaigns so this does support the single game for outside of Japan. Still not ready to call it though.

Lovin' the main character designs.
Maybe going a bit too far to remind us they've added feet this time around though.
And it was the avatar transforming in the trailer too... Interesting.
Give them some damm shoes man.

I admit though, those are some fine looking default avatars. I always thought default Robin (both genders) and default Kris (FE12, both genders) looked somewhat generic to me personally. I don't get that feeling with these two. Likely has something to do with the fact that they're lords.

Gonna have to wait until the news feeds calm down the only sources I have are:
- The Japan Nintendo Direct does state they are releasing two versions of the game.
- The North American and European versions of the Nintendo Direct say you will be able to choose a side and go into detail of the factions within the game (singular). They always refer to the game in the singular context in these two Directs.
Let's just hope we don't get a cut down version because they couldn't fit everything on one disc.

Card you mean. Not disc, but I get what you're saying anyway. If they really do go the route of a single cartridge for us I don't think there will be much to worry about. For reference, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, probably the biggest game on the system is around 8GB in size, it being a port of a Wii game, and a massive one at that. XC3D does require the New 3DS/XL tho. I think our version is gonna be more like Smash 4 3DS, in that it can run on any 3DS system but anything older than the New models won't be able to run or access other 3DS features or applications outside of the game itself, like the internet browser or Miiverse. Once again though, this is only IF we get a single game version.

Sounds good to me.
Anyway, can't wait to see more story details. It already sounds more interesting than Awakening's story.

The trailer definitely gave it a single game impression. Again, inside Japan or out of it, this is retarded. If Kingdom Hearts 3D could fit two campaigns on its cartridge then I'm not gonna believe it's a space issue.

Honestly I don't think they'll include the Black Kingdom campaign in the Western release, there's just too much potential to make some extra money there:
Most non-diehard fans are going to be satisfied with just the White Kingdom campaign, and as such will still get what they feel to be a "complete" game. Beyond that, having the Black one be dlc puts the choice/evil people, waifu fanatics and the completionists in a pinch, all of which are part of the more dedicated audiences that will actually prove willing (reluctantly if need be) to pay up.
And I do agree that the new Avatar designs are pretty awesome, especially the female one.

That would be dissapointing. I hope its gonna be more than Good vs Evil.

I hope the protagonist is still full customizable, and why does she have pointy ears aswell? Starting to get the feeling that they are taking a few bad ques from BioWare.
I don't think they look that pointy. Atleast not Nowi/Nah pointy.
Which ques are you talking about?

Posté 02 avril 2015 - 03:02
Anyway, they are too pointy for my taste and I don't overly care about being forced to play as an elf looking character.
