thats part of the experience. It doesnt get the vintage japanese seal of approval until westerners are very uncomfortable.

So yeah to make a somewhat serious post about these silly things.

But I mean for FE.

 

The face and body rubbing is a silly feature they took from Pokémon. I am fine with it because it's so damn silly, like that fact I can rub the faces of guys like Arthur is funny as hell to me. Still seeing as you don't have to do it to get characters to love you. It's easy to ignore.

 

As for characters types and romances of said character types. FE is Nintendo's most anime series, for better or worse, it has anime cliches everywhere in the series. The art style I think just does a better job of showcasing it now.

 

Really don't get the big deal about undressing the characters to see them all having the same body type tho. But Dovah here gets turned on by many strange things.

btw if Smash Lucina was translated into Fire Emblem Lucina she would have Aether, Astra, Counter, Pavise and Aegis(Which she uses both when she uses the Smash Shield, something that cant happen in the game she came from). Counter is the only move thats impossible for her to have as Chrom or any of his possible S-Supports dont have it. The only way this could happen within the constraints of the game is if Smash Lucina's mother is Olivia and had the counter skill passed down from her bloodline and down to her. You could argue that with proper breeding, anybody could have that 1 skill passed down the line like "Aether" or "Rightful king" between Lord class descendents. But its more manageable to say that Olivia's dad was a berserker and he passed down his Counter ability to her.

That will likely be their way around it. Even if the "oh we're not actually related but I still call them brother/sister" is the most overused trope ever.

Yeah but that apparently isn't creepy for people. Like the Flash TV show has Barry crush on what is functionally his step sister which is just wrong (to me).

real talk tho, despite how awkward the fire emblem amie feature is, I sincerely think its an ADORABLE idea. Ya Ive been playing up the creep factor on the fact that you can "skinship" your siblings in the game but squishing my little sisters face when we were still kids is by far one of our most cherished memories together T~T. Now we're all grown up and got our own families to take care of, this whole emblem-amie thing really takes me back and thats why I personally will enjoy it.

 

We now return to our normal schedule. btw if you cant tell, im getting all this info from reddit and serenesforest, the two big fire emblem communities in N. America tbh.

Someone in the chinese community cracked the game and found the dlc 3rd option storyline. Its pretty much spoilt. I wont be posting it here. Everything's been layed out.

Let me just say, the entire decision to split the game into 3 pieces is WITHOUT a doubt, shamelessly and purely money-driven...No chance in Hell am I buying this game, at least not new or at launch AND without all the endings in one piece.

 

You know theres nothing bad about a company making money off of something theyve made, but when all they care about is making money off of me, Im noping the **** out.
