Knight? Sigh. Don't really like knights either, but they have their uses.

What is the unit limit for most chapters? I'm looking at the wiki and trying to figure out what my team is going to be.

So how is the game?
Fantastic, as expected. Nothing to really complain about, aside what I've already mentioned. Oh, except that allied NPCs are dumber than a bag of hammers. I'm trying to protect you guys, and yet you walk farther into the red zone. I'm not reloading this map again.

It varies, it's usually around 8. You will be using everybody if you want to get all the characters and sidequest chapters.

I don't think I have ever played a FE game with good allied AI. Everyone remember that one chapter in PoR where you have to save Geoffrey's ass?

Damn that is pretty low.
Are seals pretty common?

I haven't had any drop yet, and there's only been a handful of chests, none of which contained a seal as far as I can remember.
The only promoted unit I have at the moment is my avatar, she went all the way to level 20 rather quickly thanks to her Veteran skill, but I still had to fork over the cash to buy a seal.
Everyone else that's active is around 10-12 unpromoted. I thought about reclassing a few people, but it cuts into my weapon funds.

As for comparing it to the DB, I think I had a lot more trouble with Micaiah's band than Chrom's. Chrom's team has some hardy units on it. Frederick pretty much can't die in the earlier chapters.
I use the Pair Up command constantly, I effectively have only 4 units on the field at a time, but it just works so well. Most reviews I read said this was a useless mechanic. I love it.

Hard is good. You make a mistake, you usually pay for it unless you're insanely lucky. Some maps look a little daunting at first, but you get into the groove rather quickly.

Good, DB chapter's were hard simply because most units sucked bad.
Pair Up is almost essential for Insanity in the demo.

I'd be even more thrilled if I don't have to reload chapter 9 again, thanks to the suicidal androgynous war monk I'm trying to recruit.
The AI has never been this bad.

I think what I miss the most about PoR that RD didn't have were not only the support conversations, but Soren's "Here's how our last battle went" reports.

I loved the DB chapters personally. It really conveyed the sense of this battered and barely-on-their-feet nation struggling to survive.
Besides, I eventually just started boss abusing Jarod to make Leonardo, Aran, Edward, Nolan, and whoever else awesome for the later chapters. Even Meg can be useful, if she boss abuses Jarod.

Are they trying to ruin some of the best characters? Christ, Ike looks stupid, Eirika's bridal gown's going to be made of godsmetal, and Nephenee's going to be the wrong class that completely goes against her character?
Yeesh. Can't say I like what they're doing to the downloadable characters.

War Monk is a pretty good class. It also fills the axe gap I have on my team. I'll probably bump Maribelle up to level 10 so I can have another.
Libra does need to get out more, though.

"What's this? Oh, Naga be praised!"
You get Log.
It's a log, dude/lady. You leave it on the ground.

In other news: Gaius is now Shinon.
He wiped out over half the battlefield in chapter 11 just by standing on a fort square. Panne was his support, but she rarely got to do anything. I just sat him on a fort, armed him with a bow to draw the short-ranged attackers away from my more fragile units... but got everything. Wyvern riders with hand axes persisted in attacking him despite having a 0% chance to hit, and they'd get killed in the exchange.
Sweet Christmas.

My mages hate me. And apparently my Avatar married the creepy goth stalker psycho who watches him sleep.
I tried metagaming the marriage system but I stopped when I realize you could end up marrying your own daughter or something..Being married to the stalker girl wasnt so bad.
Anybody got some pro-tips they'd like to hand out? Fire Emblem is like a snazzy chessgame where the pieces level up. Its so different from what I usually consider an RPG.
My Avatar is a Dark Knight that uses Swords and Tomes. He's very Anti-Tank in that regards and his resistance makes him a Magic-Tank.
His asset is Resistance and his flaw is luck. So, any tips for you seasoned emblemiers?

It would be impossible to marry your own kid, as you'd have to be married to HAVE said kid.
My avatar married Chrom. Their relationship was based on the fact they accidentally saw each other naked. <_<

Well, here's what I do. First, take a look at what you're facing and what they're carrying for weapons. If there's a lot of knights, take along a few mages, if there's a lot of mages, use pegasus knights and other units with high res, etc etc.
The first thing you should do on every turn is open up the enemy range by pressing X. Don't charge toward them, let them come to you. Place a hardy unit on a square on the very edge of the enemy's range. This will draw them in. Place mages and ranged attackers just outside of the red zone if at all possible.
Once the enemies start coming, shore up your defenses. Guard weaker units with tougher ones by pairing up. Always keep fragile units out of enemy range, as they WILL get killed.
When attacking, try not to depend on critical hits or dual attacks to get the job done. This game has a nasty way of ruining your plans. Also, if possible, try to place an attacking unit next to other enemy units nearby to gauge how much damage they'll take during the enemy turn if all of them attack that one unit. If it's too much, maybe rethink your strategy.
I personally never attack anything if my hit percentage is less than 80, but that's just me being paranoid, considering enemies routinely hit my guys when they have 21% chance to hit....

I NEED MOAR 'SPLOSIONS. Hopefully this game has a silver card somewhere.
You do have to pay for it, but there's going to be a DLC with approximatly 72000 gold on the map. and it's replayable.

So basically, infinite Gold. Sounds like something more suited for Postgame and the harder DLC maps than the main game. Some of the hardest DLC maps are Arden or on equal terms with Lunatic+ I hear.
Pretty much, but you could still use it for the main game if you're gonna complain about money.
