Not had this issue myself, even playing as a mage, but suppose playing pc version and on large screen makes a diff?

I stand corrected; the game defaulted to a much lower resolution than my computer and screen could handle. Just go under options and see what it's set at. I had 19 slots at that resolution, changing it added about 10 more which should be plenty.

I can't believe the devs thought one quickbar was sufficient. On the other hand, maybe they're all using huge widescreen monitors and didn't consider those of us limited to 1280x1024.

I hope they patch it so you can have more than one bar. I'm out of slots on my mage at 13th level. Pausing and opening up the inventory tab to use items/skills/spells really kills the immersion and annoys me.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I did know about dragging the toolbar, and yes I am on PC.

For one, they really should have had a stack-able tool bar.

Secondly, I am surprised too that if they played through a mage that they would think it sufficient to have one tool bar.

Finally, and this must really stink for consoles, having to go to inventory for each fight just ruins the immersion for me.

I hope they fix this in the future.

It is a bigger deal for mages, because you can easily do support and offense in a fight, and find no way to have all skills and potions on the bar.

As for resolution, I find higher resolution ruins immersion too...I have a large screen but I like the characters bigger and the game play to be more in my face...again, for me it is about immersion.

Lastly, I am surprised "mage" was spell checked in my post. LOL

Seems to me one fairly easy fix to let people decide what they prefer would be to make the size of the boxes (in screen units) adjustable. At the maximum resolution on my monitor, they are about twice as wide (and tall) as they need to be. If I could make the buttons smaller, I could fit about twice as many and still be able to tell them apart...

I really hope this is fixed in a patch or The Awakening or something. It's like they never playtested a Mage or something.

this isn't ground breaking technology, why not put it in a patch, or atleast add it to the awakening expansion? this isn't just about skills... i have a rogue, and i need a place for the poisons (allready removed the health potion), it will be better if u have a different bar for your different weapon skills (one your dw, another for ranged. they r allready exclusive...)

As a mage a lot of higher level spells cancel out lower level spells = clean it up. As mage you don't use poisons or traps usually and only need like 2 slots for lyrium and 2 for health (you usually don't have much of the higher level variants of the potions and use them sparingly and I'd say no need for them on the bar, hitting I and using it form inventory is pretty fast too)

I agree, and appreciate some of the info along the way. I think the scroll bar should be scrollable with an arrow at each end to go fwd/bkwd to more spells - as many as wanted could be added that way with almost no impact to the screen. It'd be a great and easy add in a patch.

I'm playing as a mage and I have this problem. Atleast when I started hitting the 18+ levels. Should be an easy fix, eh bioware?
