I thought an exploit was defined as "Whatever game mechanics GallowsPole doesn't like because he can't master them, and has a problem with other people who can".
Yeah, I guess I should ban myself from the unreal tournament servers that I play on for using the strafe walking "exploit", the hammer jumping "exploit" and the bouncing my flak cannon's shots off of a wall "exploit".
All 3 of those were included by the epic games developers for players who were competent enough to discover and perfect them, but as all 3 take some skill and practice, I guess those are exploits too.
Not to mention Q3's circle jumps, strafe jumps, plasma climbs and also other game's bunny hops (CS pre 1.3).

Then post a video of you shooting Claymore like a Scimitar or even Wraith. You sound like some pugger got outscored by a good Claymore user then came here to **** and whine.GallowsPole wrote...
If you insist that reload cancelling is something difficult to master in this game, than I feel sorry for you.
Fine, I give up. Its not an exploit. Its an easily mastered mechanic to give everyone the supreme advantage of claiming the high scores on BSN, or their e-peen videos because they can make a Claymore into a semi auto shotgun that in NO way, is an advantage.

If you ever dropped into a PC lobby, us PC players would be compelled to exploit you, unintended of course

I have no way to record nor would I. Ive got nothing to prove, and no, I didnt get outscored pugging. I rarely even see someone using a Claymore. I will gladly play with anyone on XBOX though.

So from unintentional it became an intentional feature.
BioWare had the same opportunity in between episodes, or with patches, and didn't do a thing either. But you say it's still unintentional? I can't understand such logic.

I don't understand at what point you make it an exploit. Yes the mechanic was originally unintended on the original Street Fighter II. Generally even combos weren't intended. Then they completely embraced it from Super Street Fighter II onwards. They could also have completely suppressed it in SF II ' or SF II Turbo. Yet they didn't.

People are confusing the term exploit with calling the mechanic an exploit. I use the definition of exploit, which reload cancelling is a perfect example of, Im not calling the game mechanic an 'exploit', which Blitzkrieg gave the definiton of. There IS a difference. One is a verb, one is a noun.

Or at least, we all laugh at it.
Too bad he's actually being serious.

You know, your definition is just one of many:
ex·ploit /ikˈsploit/
Verb
Make full use of and derive benefit from (a resource): "500 companies sprang up to exploit this new technology".
According to that definition, you would be correct

It's unfair to be able to shoot enemies through cover when they can't shoot you, so obviously using any weapons mods or ammo to allow you to do so is an exploit by your logic.GallowsPole wrote...

Except that reload cancelling is not an exploit, just a game mechanic. Credit glitches, Missile glitches, Warp/incendiary glitch are exploits.

Fact:reload cancelling, even though intentionally added, is still a broken mechanic that players take advantage of, ergo, the very definition of an exploit

If you look at all my previous posts on this topic, you will see I simply find it cheap. Im not changing my argument at all. To me, it is exploitive. The developers intentionally put a bug in the game and yes, calls it legit. Its still a bug is it not? Whether intentional or unintentional.
Definition of bug noun An error in a computer program or system: a custom program we used developed a bug[/i]
Please, stop.
