While its probably obvious that Bethesda is likely working on Fallout 4 right now, the voice actor for ThreeDog teased on twitter that we might see more ThreeDog in the near future.

Could Fallout 4 be scheduled as a nextgen launch game? Will Fallout 4 come out late this year or early next year maybe?

Hopefully ThreeDog has done some moving. Then again, couldn't you kill ThreeDog in Fallout 3?

Eeeeee

I thought there may have been an announcement that I missed. *heart attack*

This suggests support for the rumors that it's going to be set in Boston, as I can't see Three Dog migrating too far from DC.

As long as his lines don't bug out and he has more to say, then hooray!

Meh. Bethesda's take on Fallout was a mess...

Now if Obsidian announces that they're making another game in the Fallout universe, I will be interested.

I was just going to post about this! I was floating around on the Bethesda forums and saw this...this is great!! It confirms that Three Dog is returning...and he's telling you the truth...no matter how bad it hurts.

Hopefully it'll be next gen and its likely to take place on the east coast...Boston is looking more and more like a reality, which is nice. I'm not an Obsidian biased fan...I thoroughly enjoyed Fallout 3 and I am thoroughly enjoying Fallout: New Vegas right now.

Hope they announce soon!

It could be holotapes rather than a "live" re-appearance.

Sounds like they could be teasing an announcement at PAX East, which is being held in late March... in Boston no less.

That would make sense.

I'm wondering when all of these nextgen games are likely going to unveil. Whether thats before E3 in June when the new consoles probably unveil or before that.

I seriously hope the rumors that it'll be set in Boston are true. If that turns out to be the case, then between Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, I'll get to experience my entire childhood in all its post-apocalyptic glory.

Obsidian has to be making it for me to buy it, I didn't like Fallout 3, New Vegas was way better in every way.

Just get Wasteland 2.  I agree with you though.  Not a fan of Bethesda's style at all (post Morrowind)

I wouldn't word it quite like that as I enjoyed Fallout 3 for what it was, but I also found Fallout: New Vegas to be a much better game, and a much better Fallout game than Fallout 3 and would prefer Fallout 4 be left in Obsidian's hands. I'll still play a Bethesda made Fallout 4, though.

As for Three Dog, I personally found his voice obnoxious.

Hmm, quite liked Three Dog, and I like the idea of seeing Boston in all its post-apocalyptic glory (ANYTHING BUT SEEING NEW YORK IN A GAME FOR THE TEN MILLIONTH TIME). I hope this pans out and they announce Fallout 4.

I'll probably buy it anyways but I hope it's not another Skyrim, it was entertaining but I'd rather see New Vegas 2.0 on a newer engine.

Yes, and a very creepy drug kingpin in Homicide: Life on the Street.

I really don't want to see ThreeDog again. So far, every main game has been set decades after the previous one, so ThreeDog will not be in it. If he has decendants that make it into the game, I will be happy, but I hope they don't bring ThreeDog back, since you can kill him. Making him survive by becoming a ghoul or something would be purely for the sake of bringing old fans back, and to sell the game, rather than to make a new awesome game.

I am so happy about the news, but I don't want Fallout 4 to be next-gen. It will take a lot of time before I buy any next-gen console because I don't want to risk buying newer versions of consoles after experiencing what happened to the first Xbox 360s and because of money problems.

Please, make it for the current gen :)

Funny, I've replayed Fallout 3 multiple times but never finished FNV. Different strokes...

Plus Three Dog was much better than the radio fluff in FNV.
