And no more creepy zoom in pause time talk time.

If you thought it was bad in Fallout 3, play some Oblivion and you'll have nightmares.

Meh. Bethesda's take on Fallout was a mess...

Now if Obsidian announces that they're making another game in the Fallout universe, I will be interested.

FNV was an unfinished mess with a predictable story.

Yeah...no.

While its probably obvious that Bethesda is likely working on Fallout 4 right now, the voice actor for ThreeDog teased on twitter that we might see more ThreeDog in the near future.

Could Fallout 4 be scheduled as a nextgen launch game? Will Fallout 4 come out late this year or early next year maybe?
Hopefully ThreeDog has done some moving. Then again, couldn't you kill ThreeDog in Fallout 3?

Imminent Fallout 4 announcement?  With ThreeDog returning?

Obsidian has to be making it for me to buy it, I didn't like Fallout 3, New Vegas was way better in every way.

Just get Wasteland 2.  I agree with you though.  Not a fan of Bethesda's style at all (post Morrowind)

suit yourself, I'm getting both.

I'll buy and enjoy FO4 anyways, but probably not as much as I did F:NV.

Still, as long as Bethsoft continues to develop their own storylines away from the Core Region out west in California and Nevada I see no reason they can't coexist.

How exactly did Three Dog determine I nuked Megaton anyway? That has always vexed me.

ThreeDog said...
"Children, I'm afraid I've got some terrible, terrible news. GNR sources have confirmed that the mushroom cloud seen in the vicinity of Megaton was in fact... Megaton. It's been no secret that the pre-War nuke in the center of town had a live atomic core, and under the wrong conditions, could still go kaboom. Well, go kaboom it has. But it was all just a tragic accident, right? Don't you believe that for a second, folks. Word is that twisted old land grabber Allistair Tenpenny, founder of the posh Tenpenny Tower, has been looking to secure that spot for years. But just who did the dirty deed? Ask yourself this -- why has the kid from Vault 101 been sighted hanging around Tenpenny Tower? Why indeed..."

So basically, he somehow knew that I nuked Megaton because I visited Tenpony tower once to tell Daring Dashwood that I had found the remains of his friend Argyle.  Needless to say, when Liam Neesonw was all like "Son, I am disappoint." I denied everything.

I really hope they don't make it Skyrim in the Fallout Universe. I'd be so goddam disappointed.

Well you know that was my first reaction too. But just thought dual wield posibilites in Fallout.
Power sword in one hand SMG/energy weapon on the other, fully equipped in power/tesla armor and charging around like mad while yelling "FOR THE EMPEROR!"

Still, im not exicted. Not when Wasteland 2 is so close :)

Don't think you're getting off easy, I bet that punk ass Puppysmiles was involved in it too.

EDIT: Also, I know I just spoke in favor of Bethesda keeping to the East Coast, but has anybody ever considered Seattle? the 1962 World's Fair is pretty much the single greatest expression of Americana, which Fallout heavily evokes. And while showcasing damaged monuments is something that Bethesda only invented for Fallout 3, seeing the damage Space Needle - itself a hallmark of Art Deco architecture - would be pretty damn neat.

Wherever they go, I hope there's a change in scenery. New Vegas basically looked like Fallout 3 with joshua trees and the occasional red cliff. Maybe somewhere with a forest of hideously mutated plants?

What I really want to know is if rocks will return as a usable weapon in Fallout 4. They were my favorite weapon in Fallout 1 and 2, I even beat The Master to death with one once.

That has me wondering, has anybody modded rocks as weapons into Fallout 3 or New Vegas? There would be something satisfying about killing Mr. House with a rock.

No there wouldn't, there's nothing satisfying about killing Mr. House in any fashion, he was humanity's last best hope.

They were certainly useful for humiliating beached sharks in Far Cry 3.

Really!? The guy whose big idea is to leach off of a corrupt, dying government. He's a genius in political science, but he isn't a good govenor/leader. His cronies turned on him so fast. Hell, it's what I loved about New Vegas. Each faction had their own set of flaws. Since the Courier didn't have to kill anyone, I made it a statement to allow him his wish of living forever.

Back on topic, I remember reading a long time ago on No Mutants Allowed that Fallout: 4 will use a modified Oblivion/Fallout: 3 engine. I mean Bethesda is probably dying to release this game before the next-gen. The only game I see them saving for the next-gen is a new Elder Scrolls. I feel that Fallout is just a side project given how quality dropped from Oblivion.

I don't care if people can kill ThreeDog. You know why? Because the Fallout games have never had a Save Import function.

You could have killed Harold in Fallout 2, but he's still in Fallout 3. You could have razed Shady Sands to the ground, but it's still the center for the NCR in Fallout 2.

If you want Bethesda to start neutering your choices because it might have repercussions for future games, then I'm just glad your on these forums instead of Bethesda's, whispering venom into their ears.

You act as if it's a choice between save import features or canonizing key elements of the player's story. It'd be easier preferable to create a sequel that doesn't re-use characters or locations and makes little to no mention of the previous PC's actions.

I want the ending I got to matter. If I killed Tandi, I don't want to find out she became president of the NCR in Fallout 2. Just as I don't want to see Harold again with a branch sticking out of his head.

I'm guessing if ThreeDog does return it wont be in person, he'll probably just be broadcasting same as always. If he is there thanks to the station that'll mean they'll have more room to expand the setting to somewhere we had not seen in F3. I am interested in seeing how the East Coast has continued past that game though, & I'd definently love to be back in the Mojave again, but I'd like to be suprised.

Always holding onto the hope they might expand more on an ocean or river setting. Be interesting to see how the tribes & powers would manage ships & water ways in a game. And given the kind of political & social themes that Fallout likes to play around with it would make sense to expand there.

You know, might actually be neat to hold a flag or banner in the off-hand... Or atleast see some NPC's charge you with a war call & a flag in hand!  I'm guessing they'll always keep the off-hand reserved for the Pip-boy though.

He had the best thought-out plan in my opinion. The only reason he can fail is because the player character is given the freedom to travel to the Lucky 38 as he pleases, kill his securitrons if he wants to (because he's the player character), and take over. No one else could've reasonably pulled that off.
