Its easy to check statistics of summoned monsters with Shadow Keeper. But i am unable to find the damage they inflict and the effect they have. Basicly i am interested in ALL monsters you can summon, even the lowly pack of kobolts shooting arrows, because the next time i play i want to make some funny combos. For instance, 5 ettercaps or 5 sword spiders, hasted or even improved hasted. But i need their damage and chance of poisoning. Same for wyvern. Is it possible to check it with SK at all ?
Summoned monsters stats and opinion on them

Tnx for your reply, i think i found it with Ni already. Summoned sword spider gets haste from his ring, immunity to web and hold from his amulet....his weapon is 2d6...
But while it shows effects ( poison ) for other spiders, it wont show it for spiders. For others i found something like 2 poison damage per second until 20 is reached...didnt find how big of a change to poison on hit there is..i guess normal sword spider has same poison as summoned ? Doesnt have the same damage though.

Interesting...poison does show at summoned phase spider....save vs poison at -2 on hit...2 per second, 20 seconds....it doesnt show at sword spider whether summoned or normal. Sword spider does have poison, right ?
Wyvern doesnt seem half bad. Save vs poison at -4, 20 seconds of 5 damage per second poison...the only problem is that he only has 2 attacks and it seems like he is using 2 weapons, which means only 1 attack with poison weapon per round ( 2 in case of impr. haste ? ). Still, he could be usefull as an assasin to put out certain spellcasters. I also noticed he is immune to level drain. Sadly poison wont do any good against vampires. He could be combined with tons of webs though...since he is immune to them. Ettercap isnt as usefull as i though...it would seem that sword spider is better then him. I do like Mutated crawler, since having an enemy in your mercy stunned for 30 or soo secounds is great but his thaco is only 15. With 4 attacks per round though he might do something to spellcasters...with impr. haste even better...

Just to confirm that sword spiders don't have poison - they're enough of a handful without it though.

This is really sad then...i had such great plans with them...as far as spellcasters go...you run to them, poison them and they are practicly useless....you go to the next character, poison them...make a bunch of enemies useless. But that is ok, when you are lower level you have phase spider and when you are over 12 or 13, you get better summons anyway. I am a bit disapointed in kittex though....since it is a special summon with an actual name, from an item...you would think it would be the best spider ever. But it turns out its worse then huge spider, let alone phase and sword. I think it only has 1 attack, and saves vs poison the target gets is worse then with phase spider. Not sure that spider spell makes much of a difference....well maybe if it scores then kittex makes a quick work of its target what with poison and all...otherwise, not good.
Wyvern, if it is as good as it says, it is awesome. Maybe part of the reason why i always thought that wyvern is bad is because i summoned it and put it 1v1 against skeleton warrior, aerial servant or elemental summon. Offcourse he will lose badly. Unlike those, he is not a tank, he is an assasin. Can any of those programs show speed of summoned creatures ? If you cast improved haste on 1 of those....he could run to a spellcaster before he can cast a nasty effect and poison them and then just go to another target. Save vs poison at -4 means that it will almost always poison...and a whooping 5 damage per second for 20 seconds....that would mean that if he poisons a targer, he can go to another target and the target he poisoned is practicly dead already....100 damage...or maybe he poisons it twice...200 damage....and poison will prevent spellcasting and if it will allow it, target will use it for healing spells and such. What about a combination, 2 skeleton warriors, 1 morkys sword and 2 wyverns, all hasted. Skellys and sword tank....and wyverns just kill those pesty spellcasters ! Damn, i cant wait to play bg2 once more. I am gonna spend 90% of time in some corner with no ppl, testing different spell and item combinations.

I actually think Kitthix is very useful as a summons. I agree he doesn't perform well in melee, but his web ability has a decent chance of making even a powerful opponent helpless.

Well if you look at it from this perspective....but his web isnt much....basicly web spell is the same, the only difference is that many enemies are affected at once....
Kitthix attacks 1.5 per round, enemies save vs poison with +1 bonus and it does 3 damage per second for 14 seconds. Phase spider...enemies save at -2, does 2 damage per second for 20 seconds. But i agree, Kitthix is summoned very fast, can cast web right away and that is worth something, at least early on, considering how very easy it is to get kitthix. Incase he webs an enemy...that enemy is dead when left to him....
Still, would be cool if we could upgrade him...maybe he would become a vortex spider or something...

A few new info from tests ...
Turns out wyvern is basicly useless. Its almost impossible to get him to poison anyone, even if you improve haste him and have him attack mage with 5 AC and stoneskin.
I did, on the other hand find out that those carrion summons could have their uses. They are very weak soo it is vital that some other creature tanks but if left alone, they can put even 3 enemies out of the game for quite a while ( and stunning someone for like 5 rounds is as good as killing him in my book). More testing will have to be done.
I find out that many webs + sword spiders is a great combo, even against stronger enemies. I tested it and while spiders are very fragile ... 3+ layers of web get many creatures stunned. And i mean, many. This combo could even have potencial in TOB with scs2 ... if planed carefully offcourse ... and a fun combo it is !
incendiary cloud + fire elementals isnt coming along as i wanted ... the thing is, usualy i dont remember jaheiras fire elementals attacking me when i damage them. They remained ally ... even more ... i hit them with fire damage to which they are immune. Its strange, i started new TOB game just to test a few combos .... didnt mod the game in any way .... but in my SCS2 ( or tactics ) setup they never got agressive towards me, even if i directly attacked them.
Nishru could be used in this way, but the cloud of fire wont heal them ... i tested it. There are also mordys swords but they are higher level .... i really thought i will be able to use those easy to get long lasting fire elementals, any idea why they get agressive ?

In vanilla, a summon will go hostile if damage controlled/originated by the player hits them, even if they are immune, such as fireballs and fire elementals. You can only hit a summon with an offensive spell if it doesn't damage or try to damage, then it wont' go hostile - grease, stinking cloud, web etc.

Could it be a fixpack issue giving you different results goblinsly1?

My game with SCS2 and fixpack fixes that. Actualy even if i melee attack fire elementals they wont turn red, they will attack me but i can send them away again. It works like this with most enemies, actualy i couldnt get a single summoned monster to turn red yet. Fixpack and SCS2 did this somehow ..

How much do you guys like Skeleton warriors, fire elementals and Aerial servants ?
Well i like all of them, i try to use them in different situations. Aerial servant is the best melee fighter, no doubt about it. I think 16HD aerial servant could even beat 24HD fire elemental (that is if he can hit him). He has great damage and basicly never misses due to his +5 bonus to hit. He doesnt have any good weapon imunities like fire elemental though. Fire elementals are great for using in combination with fire spells. Or for fighting enemies like fire dragon - immune to fire damage but stronger and faster then skelly. And skelly .... well his magic resistance is to be used against spell casters offcourse.

The level seven spell 'Summon Hakeashar' is the best way to counter Beholders because its fun watching them fight inside my 'clouldkill' i.e.
cloud damage = immune & ray = heal... that's my two cents.

With SCS2 i kind of doubt they will be dumb enough to atack a target they have 0% chance of killing. Or not ?

Yes... It works with scs2 (I play core rules but that should not change the scripts);
Cast 'Farsight' so that you can see the eyes then send in your pets and once they are occupied add some cloudkill (wand) shots... done right & the eye will never know what killed them!
