Regardless, if it isn't the ending, what could possibly be enough to "make us cry" and "blow us away" like they think it will?

OP, where are you getting these quotes, and the "Epic" one included in your title? And the idea that Bioware have said this will be their biggest DLC yet?

Why has this question not been answered for page and pages yet people are still treating it like Bioware said this? Seriously, why am I only 1 of about 2 people that have asked for this?

If you hate the end of Mass Effect 3 does that also mean you hate facts and sources and will fully embrace lies in an attempt to **** about Bioware? Because there really shouldn't be this much pages and still no sources.

Don't expect an answer, you seem to be purposefully ignored.

Trolls should not be fed.  Ergo the silence... Image IPB

srlsy, who gives a rat's ass about the origin of the quotes.  Incidentally the "cry" part comes from "high potential for tears"
http://www.gamespot....t-3-dlc-6401104

As for being blown away... d'ya think Bioware aims for "meh"? Image IPB  NOTE: I didn't say what they give.  I said what they aim for.  Difference Image IPB

So OP may have taken a little creative license.  So what? Maybe OP wasn't trying to literally quote them.

Now, back to the original programming...

If your going to claim that something happened, and have no evidence to back it up, than you are plain and simply lying through your teeth. There has been no hype quotes from bioware about this dlc, they've been extremly quiet about it outside of answering occasional questions and saying how they're bug fixing it. Check out the twitter thread and you'll see my evidence for saying this.

The high potential for tears stuff was from me and my post months ago regarding a tweet the composer of the dlc, sam hulik, posted up that was in the tweeter thread. my proof for that statement is here

And you see, when I make a claim, I try and provide evidence, and not pull **** out of my ass and parade around the forums like it;s the goddamn gospel or something.

Page 6 of that thread even has the man himself posting. I'll just go ahead and quote it.

"Actually, tweets are not regulated in the way that you've described. We are just expected to exercise caution and respect non-disclosure agreements. I made one comment about just one particular piece of music being sad, and now the entire DLC is sadness apparently (not true). Obviously I didn't reveal any details about the DLC itself and no harm was done, but it's frustrating to be misquoted, so since then I've toned down my comments on the DLC until after it's fully announced and/or launched. Lesson learned!"

High potential for tears is refering to one piece of music only. One scene that probably has some kind of goodbye or death in it.

hopefully its just semantics, they could still continue the game without changing the current ending.

Agree, if the game never fully finished and we still have some of the end to play out. How they fit it all in will be the question and it could be good or bad.

They said it would be Epic...but really there was no other option in what they could tell us. It wouldn't be a good PR if they stated: It's gonna be boring 90%-fighting DLC like omega.

We will see when it comes, but I doubt many people will order it, without first youtubing some fragments and reading opinion. BW isn't as trustworthy as it was in the past. Hopefully they will regain some of fans trust with this DLC.

Anyone still poking around here 10 months after game launch, is very likely to buy whatever they release next without thinking(myself included)
Yes i was disappointed with certain parts of ME3 and DLC's, but it's still a great game, some of us just hoped it would have been even better.

Well that's entirely up to them isn't it? Don't make a promise you can't keep. I thought that had something to do with common decency. In addition, it's bad for long term business.

They didn't start off well if they started with promises of the next DLC being 'epic'. Promises lead to hype, hype leads to high expectations, high expectations....lead to suffering disappointment.

So, saying that a DLC might be "epic" constitutes a promise now?

Hidden camera footage of Bioware writers brain storming ideas for new DLC.

Soon after EA issues press release saying they want the Seinfeld crowd and afterwards attempt to divide by 0.

Before I click on that link what is it. Is it something fake or real

It's a scene from seinfeld.

A very relevant scene mind you :P

Nah, but saying the next DLC you're working on will be 'epic' will create expectations. With bioware that usually turns into disappointment these days. Granted it's usually just fans hyping everything up, not bioware themselves, but the result will be the same if the product doesn't deliver.

If it just gives us more war assets like Omega and Leviathan, then there is no point to their DLCs. Yes, Leviathan gave backstory and Omega was taken back....Who cares? I hope this new one impresses and possibly foreshadows Mass Effect 4.

Maybe a Khar'shan DLC or something Prothean/Collector related. That could do it, if the script in my head plays out in the DLC.

If its a prothean device shep better meld with it not the whole get a computer trick BW. Its so annoying shep doesn't just approch both Thessia and Mars and download the info into his brain like he should instead BW makes him a moron forgetting how to meld with the thing just so characters have phyisical things to take cuz stealing shep and using a matriarch or controled Shiala to take the info from his head is too much.

I´ll tell you what it will be about... it will be about next 3-4 hours of actions and explosion, with flawed antagonist and weak plot in exchange for 15 or 20 of your bucks, because BioWare already lost touch with reality...

Omega wasn't exactly a morale-booster.

I'm interested to see where they're taking this DLC, presumably the last, and how they'll send off the series for the more diligent fans (the target audience for this late-in-the-cycle content). Expectations, however, are almost nonexistent---but I've got some points ready.
