No, it wasn't. Targeting was a mess, only a few spells were really useful, inventory management was clunky, and potion making took too long to accomplish what should have been a simple task. It wasn't unplayable, obviously, since I finished the game, but the gameplay pales in comparison to the story, voice-acting, and music.

I agree, but only with keyboard and mouse. Try playing the game with a gamepad.
only a few spells were really useful
Try playing the game on 'Dark Mode' or 'Insane Mode' and you'll quickly discover that not only are ALL the spells very usefull, but also are ESSENTIAL to your survival.
inventory management was clunky,
I agree, but interface design =/= gameplay. We were talking about gameplay here, not interface design.
and potion making took too long to accomplish what should have been a simple task.
How so? Making potions was easy.

True. Of all things in TW2, the gameplay could indeed use the most improvements. The rest however, like the graphics, the story, the acting and the music, is already close to perfection.

But it's not even the same Bioware studio making ME4. It's the studio that handled ME3 multiplayer.
Which might mean that their will be multiple races to chose from (for the protagonist) in ME4.

I'll do that. (I hate KB&M anyway, but didn't have a PC controller at the time)

I have no doubt. But since I liked the concept of each of the spells, I would have liked some more gameplay situations where each was in turn a necessity.

I see them as a part of the same thing, not limiting gameplay merely to the battle system. When the time comes to actually play the game, how is the Witcher 2? That's what I'm adressing here, and inventory is part of that. But we agree here so it's just semantics on this point now.

From what I saw in my brief playthrough post-EE, they actually fixed my big complaint here by making the appearance of the potions screen instantaneous.

It's damn good. I'm not quite as high on it as you are, but it's damned good. The story, however, has its flaws, which can include the characters. At times, TW2 mistakens character depth for "this guy has his reasons." Morally grey characters make it a better story than most of the trash that passes in vidya games, but there is plenty of room for improvement, especially when considering aspects such as character arcs or the prospect of dynamic changes to characters in general. Characters are the same at the end of the Witcher 2 as they are at the beginning of the Witcher 1. In this aspect Mass Effect is clearly the superior series, assuming you do in fact value such things, which not every story must.
As for the overarching plot, it seems to me that has yet to be truly expanded on, but I doubt it will culminate in a train wreck like the original ME3 endings.

I really don't understand why people who hate mass effect 3's ending are still here do you have nothing better to do in your life??
It's what happens when you love the series but hate ME3.
Why don't you go to the ME2 and 1 section then?
I am concerned from the fact that you don't seam to understand.....

I think that both ME3 haters and ME3 lovers have the right to be here, if they keep it civil and do not aim to mock the others or harass or hurt other people for what they like or dislike. The only people I can't understand are who hate the ME series from ME2 on (while ME1 is not that different IMO), so I suppose they have long lost their interest in the series. Though I get those who are here to debate because they enjoy conversing... but those who are here to annoy people and enjoy negativity... well, to them, I can only say, that I hope they find something better in life to do than this kind of sensless bs.

my hope has gone with the large amount of scrapped plot oportunies and lazyness that makes omega dlc a simple action packed cash cow.I only expect with this dlc the last nail in the coffin of bioware.Too many expectations that seems too difficult to implement or not money profitable for the actual state of bioware/ea or game industry in general.I have to admit there´s no indoctrination, there´s no more good me2 chars additions there´s no giana parasini shiala, there´s no return to ilos, feros or virmire.. there´s no space battles, there´s no a real good final mission (like suicide mission).there´s no "your choices matter" there´s no war assets cinematic additions or relevance in outcomes and go on.Only cash cows with a little sugar on top and more lies and hype. And next ME4 linear action with autodialogue and cinematics and microtransation multiplayer.Game is over!
this is really sad. and yet...i can't really contradict it =/

Well, let's wait and see, the only way we can know for sure, is if Bioware announces something, but i dont think the last part with ME 4 is going to happen.

You must be new to the Internet then, as all he was trying to do was deliberately rile you up in an argument that had no conclusion to derail the thread. There was nothing to be gained from it, just frustration and thread derailing, and he knew full well what he was doing. Trolling in other words.

Yes, I was calling trolling out when I saw it.

Again... derailing a thread with a discussion cannot ad-hoc be considered trolling because trolling is not only intended to derail a thread, but mostly to provoke. And you simply can't know whether his intention was to derail the thread, to provoke or anything else. Aside from that, trolls usually don't even try to debate and don't react to the points other people are making. Heretic_Hanar clearly did.Robosexual wrote...
