I don't think there is any excitement in playing something that takes place before earth, unless you like the action more than the story.

umm I like story more than action, and if its a well crafted side story, I'll have excitement for it.... I could care less about it being before the ending.

But.... will my shepard & miranda have babies??

Infertile => no babies => no chance of getting pregnant => no condoms => Jackpot.

As the infertility is described is actually quite curable by even today's medicine.

I believe it's definitely believable for Miranda to find a cure for herself and be able concieve a child with Shepard.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Evoke more tears?
The entire ME3 game already had that.
I don't need more tears to be shed in grief.
I have had enough of grief and doom *for my Shepard*.

Unless they give me a reason to cheer, I am not buying this DLC, as I haven't the rest that came before.

Pretty much. I'm sure if they could create a being that doesn't have a mother and is genetically perfect then they could bypass the infertility.

Mordin comes back from the grave and makes miranda highly fertile. Then both mordin & shepard makes babies with miranda. SCORE!!!!

hehe i like the "no condoms = jackpot" statement.

I think there's a good chance it'll be ending related. Not saying it will, just that there's a chance. The fact that the composer for the game is returning and all 8 writers are on board is highly suspicious. Furthermore, it's looking like the Leviathan and Omega DLCs haven't been too good. In fact they're at the bottom of the list for DLC sales for the Mass Effect franchise. Go look up the Xbox 360 best selling dlc list if you don't believe me.

Then there's the fact that the Wii U version of ME3 only sold 11-13k units WORLDWIDE, in it's first few weeks of release. For a triple A title like Mass Effect, that's really bad. And then lastly you've got EA being knocked off of NASDAQ's top 100 list, which caused investors to pull their stock from the company. So financially, EA is in for some tough times, and nobody likes losing money.

Long story short, because of all this, it's possible they may have changed their minds. Mass Effect is suppose to be a big cash cow, and since the release of ME3, they've already seen some warning signs with all the drops in sales. So it's possible the next DLC will be some attempt to win back the fans.

We'll have to wait and see.

@bolded

Where exactly did you find this information?

There does not appear to be a "Xbox 360 best selling dlc list" in exsistence. At least not on google anyway.

Someone looked up the list and posted it on these forums just yesterday in the 'How well did Omega sell' thread. Here it is if you're interested:

As of January 8, the Xbox Live Marketplace DLCs list sorted by Best Selling All Time and with a filter of game rating M, we get the following listing.

1. Mass Effect 3: Resurgence
2. Mass Effect 3: From Ashes
3. Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut
4. Mass Effect 2: Kasumi Stolen Memory
5. Mass Effect 3: Rebellion
6. Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker
7. Mass Effect 3: Earth Multiplayer Expansion
8. Mass Effect 2: Overlord
9. Mass Effect 1: Bring Down the Sky
10. Mass Effect 2: Arrival
11. Mass Effect 2: Equalizer Pack
12. Mass Effect 2: Aegis Pack
13. Mass Effect 3: Retalition Multiplayer
14. Mass Effect 1: Pinnacle Station
15. Mass Effect 2: Alternate Appearance Pack 1
16. Mass Effect 3: Leviathan
17. Mass Effect 2: Appearance Pack 2
18. Mass Effect 2: Genesis (the comic that lets you create choices from ME1)
19. Mass Effect 2: Cerberus Network
20. Mass Effect 3: Firefight Pack
21. Mass Effect 3: Omega
22. Mass Effect 3: Groundside Pack
23. Mass Effect 3: Alternate Appearance Pack 1

There's a couple missing there, such as Kasumi, so I'll be going back to check and see if I just missed it.

EDIT: Yes I did miss Kasumi. It's number 4, between EC and Rebellion. List is now corrected.

For some reason, this made me lol.

Probably schadenfreude. Probably also me not getting how people who think like that actually think.

Ah well, you have my semi-sympathy.

Actually there is marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Games/GameAddons?sortby=BestSelling

Well what do ya know. Looks like I got that wrong.

Ratings aren't sales. Even then. Leviathan has 8,800+ rating while LoTSB has ~6,000.

I don't think it's about the ratings. It looks to be sorted by "best selling all-time", look for the combobox in the top right, below the search bar.

Leviathan and Omega is in that list. And there doesn't seem to be a specific order since the Firefight weapon pack is above the Dragon Age: Awakening DLC.

These aren't listed by the rating, they are listed by sales look closer you have DLCs with 250 rating ahead of ones with 8000 in some cases and one with 4.1 star behind 4.0 star ratings.

Just look on the first page. first two DLCs are a prime example this counts the number of downloads.

1. Optional Media update 1974 rating 3.5 stars
2. Halo 3 Heroic Weapons Map pack 17,263 rating 4.5 star

Though, you would think that by then, birth control would have moved past something dating as far back as ancient Egypt.

Firefight was cheaper, awakening was buggy and didn't get glowing reviews.

Would you like me to get you a hat?

It doesn't matter to me. It's probably going to be something more like Omega.

Miranda isn't broken. But I do believe Shepard and her would like a child. So they are going to find a way to make it possible to them.

Not so much the casual gamer market and  the FPS crowd though, which ME3 was trying to market to.

And Kasumi is ranked slightly higher than ME3:Rebellion, which is a free MP map pack?

Also, Dragonborn is pretty low on the list as well.
