You heard that right. All of Mass Effect was a dream. Except for ME3, which was obviously a nightmare.

Shepard picks up an eree message about some remote relay, there is a hint of subject matter about future events that cannot be explained, but the mission is clear. Shepard has to find it and then go through an uncharted relay..

Thats all I got.Image IPB

It'll be some bland corridor shoot-out with Cerberus or Reapers, no doubt.

Fixed.

I don't think there is any excitement in playing something that takes place before earth, unless you like the action more than the story.

umm I like story more than action, and if its a well crafted side story, I'll have excitement for it.... I could care less about it being before the ending.

I agree that if a side story is well crafted. I maybe interested.  However, I don't think its possible to do a well crafted pre earth dlc since any story line is probably gonna be about finding a way to stop the reapers.  We know that no matter what happens in it, it doesn't help you stop the reapers.  The course of the game won't be affected.

I swear to god, I have never heard the complaint or reasoning that "if the dlc doesnt affect the ending, it Sucks and/or is pointless." .....not until ME3 atleast.

Personally, its not a valid complaint in my opinion. I let any games dlc stand on its own. Otherwise I'd be saying Skyrims dlc....Borderlands 2 dlc blows.....because they certainly have no affect on the endings of their respective games. So they must suck.

Leviathan didn't change the ending. And its easily my favorite dlc of the trilogy. (Even more than LotSB....and I'm a Liara fanatic)

it is valid if the ending is preventing you from repaying the game. And I WANT to be able to replay it...but can't ATM

Whatever it is, it's going to be based on a loose end. Remember in ME2 when Liara mentioned going after the shadow broker and it was kind of a giveaway that there would be a mission involving it at some point? The same goes for Aria, her dialogue suggested DLC would come out or we would retake omega laterm in the vanilla game. Other than anything post ending (not saying post-ending DLC isn't a possibility), what other loose ends were mentioned, and which ones were highly requested by us on BSN?

Feros is, I think, a high possibility.

hopefully its just semantics, they could still continue the game without changing the current ending.

Exactly.  They ended the game.  It's done.  The DLC will be an epilogue.

not really their problem though. Maybe a handful of games in the history of videogames have ever "altered" their endings via dlc....

Just because you can't bring yourself to replay it, doesn't mean theres a new mandatory standard that every dlc is judged by whether its content affects the games ending.

Based on random stuff I've heard on the internets I'm guessing something that covers the orgins of the Keepers and the Reaper homeworld (ie stuff I'm  mildly curious about but have trouble focusing on with the current batch of endings).

Would love love LOVE something that gave us an ending similar to the first two game.

We already know of the keepers' origin and I'm fairly sure the reaper homeworld was obliterated, even so, Leviathan is enough for the pre-reapers IMO.

No where in any of the Mass Effect games does it tell you anything about either of these subjects. ALL we know is that the keepers were made by the reapers, we have no idea from what race, what planet they used to come from, how they function with near unlimited resources.

And we never learn about their being a reaper home world. All we know is that the leviathans were the first reaper.

Hehe, everything is EPIC and AWESOME in BioWare's eyes :-)

I love their optimism, it's refreshing to the cynicism in here.

Sorry, but who gives a ****? The Keepers are just little cyborgs that the Reapers made to maintain the Citadel. What's the appeal? I would rather learn more about pretty much anything else.

the keepers nest/homeworld is hidden in dark space, their queen is free...at last.

edit: they weren't always considered cybernetic, evolution has removed their shackles..

The keepers are organic with cybernetic implants.  AKA Cyborgs.

"The keepers are a bio-engineered, insectoid race found only on the Citadel. They are completely docile and harmless, and appear to exist for no other reason than to maintain the Citadel and its systems."
