– Using Kinect as a mic for anything multiplayer is extremely annoying at the best of times.
– Xbox's gamertag 'mute' is a solution to this problem.
– If whatever else you're using doesn't allow you to mute an individual... my pity (but it probably does and you just don't know it).

I can't remember if the default voice option is Push to Talk. Why would you ever have it otherwise?

I played with some dude whos fire alarm needed a new battery and it beeped every 30 seconds. And he never once said anything. Just had his mic on. Good times.

Was it nucleartech ; )

First time I was playing with someone with always open mic I was likw "wtf, is that dude fappin or something?" but he was only bleeding out and pushing the space key very hard and quick and that made him breath very fast.

You want bad? When I first started playing this game I had a bad flu, I lost my voice and sounded like a creeper.

People friended me for that very reason alone (kinda uncomfortable now that I think about it).. But people were very off put by the raspy "I'm behiiiind yooooou" voice I had at the time. I tend to have my microphone off, for that very reason.

But if you can't hear my baby crying, how will you know why I took cover in a corner all of a sudden?

Personally I would suggest switching off your mic if your mum/dad is telling you to clean your room RIGHT NOW. But that's because I won't laugh at you if I can't hear it.

Some of the worst I heard was someone left their kinect mic on so you can hear the game echo and ontop of that there was a couple arguing what sounded like russian in the background for the entire match.

Then of course your vanilla ice/ slim shadys attempting to perform their favorite rap song.

Kick them.

If u r in the game and it starts then, you CAN'T, would be nice to have kick facility in game but it would be abused.  If you get this after going in, then u lose those consumables.   I know how OP feels, I had similar about 4 weeks ago!  If u r not going to use it for helping/directing in game turn it off.  lags game slightly anyway, unless they fixedmthat bug.

lol I refuse to play in games with mics, because its guaranteed that at least 1 of the possible 3 will be annoying. the only good thing about ppl with mics, is i can hear these annoying people b4 i actually get fully loaded into the game and i know that as soon as i have control i just need to exit the lobby/game

it is possible to mute these douchebags on PSN, you just have to block the player, and it will  mute them, plus you get the added bonus of never getting thrown into any game they host, nor can they join any game you host.... prob solved

getting rid of all the DBs would seriously deplete the player base !!

I always mute someone who has annoying noises coming from their end.
Problem solved.
Don't give two bits, because I'm not on a difficulty where I need to hear my team mates.
That's the beauty of forever being stuck on bronze, silence.

Best for me was hearing a guy's dog yapping, then his wife asking him if he wanted lunch, and him requesting a . . . beef jerky and mayonnaise sandwich.

But the greatest part was after that, the dude left the lobby, I said "Beef jerky and MAYONNAISE???" and a wonderfully urban voice then laughed and said "yeah, that's some white boy ****** sh** right there"

I'd rather have creepy raspy voices from my team mates than kids who sing the names of the team, while he's dying and I have to save his ass, and I can't hear the brute/banshee that suddenly became a friggin' ninja and crept up on my butt while I was ressing him.
