It's not the worst AR, but it's also no longer on the A-list either. It would be nice to have something besides the Harrier and Particle Rifle, both annoying weapons for different reasons, as top shelf assault rifles.

Heavy melee can be used to remove the missle lancher from your character just like the ladder glitch (doesn't seem to work for Krogans).

Praetorian seems to be ripped from ME2 as it still uses the old husk head model.

Gameplay facts, I have none.

 Taking cover works better than dodgeing to evade the  Banshee Ball- if off host.

And Dot effects can be removed by Cloak DeCloak- most of the time (havent tried with Volus to see if it works due to having Shield Boost- but if it does it could be nice if on cool down.

Quick scoping on Xbox works by Aiming over the target and quickly taapping zoom and then fire. Makes the Black Widow into a close range weapon and helps with overall DPS and mitigates screen shake effects.

As to the Typhoon DR, I wonder how they tested it. Because I thought BW stated that there is a cap on DR(95%?).
Which if true may make it look as though it doesnt work. They tend to be pretty thorough though.

Having a party chat can be used to bring back a player quickly from disconnect, or if you have to have the host leave the game to get rid of a invulnerable enemy.

Rejoin or host migration will bring back full consumables most of the time.

Banshees taking sufficient damage will cause them to drop sync kill, seems to require there barrier to be gone. works great with Recon mine.

When playing a Shadow/Slayer with points in slash, you can get within melee range of a primed target, use slash to detonate the tech/fire/cryo explosion, and cancel out of slash before the shockwave begins (dodge or heavy melee) and you will have detonated the primed enemy without causing a cooldown.

Using Nova after being hit by a seeker swarm will restart your barrier recharge. You'll need some barriers left for this to work, of course.

Arctican exchanged some messages with Derek about the Typhoons DR.  According to Derek, it is active in a cone of 90 degrees in front of the player, so hits coming in from the side or behind won't be affected by it.  It does not give DR against grenades.  This could explain why some people tested it, and felt it wasn't working.  It's not just general DR like armor gives.  

As far as I know, only the Volus Shield Boost DR caps, older powers that give DR do not have a cap that was ever found.  A small number of builds are able to achieve complete invulnerability, at least for short periods of time.

It's true. Shield boost DR caps at 90%, but the actual games DR cap is 133%, which is full invulnerability.

One you told me that I haven't seen pop up in the thread; the Paladin's cryo shield (or whatever the evo's called) can actually freeze an unshielded Phantom.

Cryo shield freezing Phantoms is pretty much old news now...

There are still some people that don't know that using juggernat shield gear and the melee evo in shield mastery will stagger Phantoms when you block their melee.

Actually, even Volus shield boost doesn't cap.  See here

:o  Well that makes Shield Boost even nicer.  That is a piece of info I had missed.

And please disregard all my prior comments on the Typhoon.  Arctican is still PMing some people trying to pin down whether or not it is working.

Question - are things that are mentioned in this thread, like the bug of lack of DR bonus from a typhoon, equal on both xbox and PC?

and yeah good thread, so much stuff to know in this game! Kinda ridiculous in a way

Tests are usually made by guys on PC - Peddro, Corlist, Cyonan, Tyhw, others...

But I see no reason why things should behave differently on xbox/ps3.

That said, as Djorn said above, it is still unclear if the tests made by Peddro were flawed by the 90 degrees angle thing, which noone knew about.

There is no cap on DR whatsoever, as far as I know. Even shield boost hasn't got a cap, despite the description.

That, like the DoT thing, is another thing which is not working for me and I have no idea why :(

Are you quite sure? How big exactly is the hitbox for a headshot? Does it include the center circle eye thing, or is it only just below that? Because I've tried shooting the center eye many time and never noticed extra damage.


The Circle is not the head, it's... well, this circle is a trap, you'll gain no extra damage. The hitbox for the "head" is ridiculously small, since it begins above the front sack and ends below the circle.

Good point, didn't think of that.

Now that I think of it... Has anyone on PC effectively used the Paladin's shield to block DoT and/or the acid rain on ghost hazard? Cause it doesn't work for me, it may be platform dependant then.

If you light melee a pyro it will be staggered. Wait for it to recover and repeat to keep a pyro in constant state of stagger.

Throw power usage in between.

When playing with the Shadow if you fire the last shot (or the only when using a single shot weapons) and immediately after use SS or ES, the weapon is automatically reloaded during the animation.

This works specially well with the Claymore.

shockwave doesnt work for me at all most of the time, doesnt even nudge husks. 
I'll try to remember next time im using paladin. For blocking DoT - does that mean using shield to block say a banshee warp? Does it require any particular power evolution?
