You can stop a Praetorian by running into melee range then dodging back. It will drop to the ground and take a swipe at you. Then, as it starts lazoring, it's bubble will drop allowing you to use powers on it. For that matter, I think most PUG's don't realize that using powers on a flying Praetorian will make it bubble up.

This is my routine engagement rule with crabs. I don't know why people don't do it. As soon as the bastard leaves the ground, go an say hello. Of course be ready for a quick bye before it lazors.
It is amazing how simple it can be to deal with them if you don't let them bubble up. Also, you can avoid the lazors in open just by quickly changing your position as it's about to fry you.

That WWIII will be a huge war between bronys VS. furrys.

I thought it had to be about Mass Effect. Well, in that case -

Weed will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no weed.

Barrier is the most fun power in the game and no one else spams it offensively like I do :(

I just realized this the other day: Power damage affects shield boost. Which makes no sense at all but it makes the Volus passive 5b redundant considering you get two for the price of one with 5a.

Well WWIII would more likely be:

Bronys VS. Furrys

Tali VS Miranda

Arc Pistol VS Claymoar

Good ME3 ending VS Bad ME3 ending

Weed VS Cocain

Sheogorath VS Discord

...

a war that will be short-lived and depressing once they realize they're the same and all they want is porn of colorful animals

but as said, if they can make it out of their basements

Krogan need to kill stuff in melee to keep up their Rage buff.

I say that because the thread title is "facts you suspect no one else knows" and I find myself always just missing connecting with enemies in melee. The only justification I can think of is that those players must not have ever tried a Krogan and don't know about/understand Rage. Surely it isn't that a pugger is so petty as to know that Rage is keeping me alive but steals kills I'm clearly about to make, right?

Right?

here's a math fact for ya - the dark sphere and recon mine powers have the 2nd largest detonation radii in MP at 9m that's a ground area of 254.5 m2.

assuming both powers have spherical detonations:

Volume: 3053.6m2

Surface area of total detonation: 1017m3

bet you were never bored enough to do that math

assuming the dark sphere has a spherical and recon mine is hemispherical:
Volume: 3053.6m2(DS) 1526.8m2(RM)
Surface area of total detonation: 1017m2(DS) 509m2(RM)

bet you were never bored enough to do that math

Arc Grenades can be specced up to 10.2m radius if I remember correctly. Recon Mine is also spherical, btw.

this is true. 10.4m oh well. my bad and the recon mine thing is probably right because it damages around corners and off ledges. dark sphere should be right tho and those numbers should apply to RM. I will fix

here's the math for arc grenade:

ground area: 339.8m2

Again assuming spherical detonation

Surface area: 1359.2m2

Volume: 3533.9m3 (about the volume of my apartment lol)

It is neither really funny nor am I the only one who knows this --- if it should be true that is:

The beam weapons have limited range, i.e. on huge maps you can not hurt an enemy on the opposite side --- even if the beam seems to reach them.

I only tried the PPR (on the TSent), but a friend said it is the same for the other ones.
Is this indeed correct? Or do I simply have such terrible aim?

I have no idea what the exact range is.

All beam weapons have a range limit.

The range limit is just a couple meters beyond the automatic power targeting range. Plus, you do reduced damage outside of the power targeting range with all weapons.

What?  Are you sure about that?

If so, that's a kick in the nuts for sniper rifles.

Yep. It was mentioned by a Dev a long time ago. It is pretty easy to test too.
