I stumbled across that about 2 months ago and have subsequently tested ..

i feel i have missed few revives like this, so i would say it s the opposite ? Or is it the stomp that stagger me and end the revive circle ?
It is definitely the opposite in my experience.

From my experience, this fails almost always if it's the host who is reviving, off host players get more mileageDon't think this is common knowledge ..
If a teammate is downed, once you start the revive circle graphic, they are immune from being finished via a stomp, assuming the revive circle graphic isn't broken before completing the revive.
So even if the stomp is administered before the revive graphic is complete, your teammate will not be finished for the round ..

Good point, maybe it does have to do w hosting vs non-hosting.
I do know I have specifically looked for these situations and have cancelled out the execution stomp at least 1/2 dozen times recently. But I do normally play off-host ...
I would be interested for others to watch out for this also

From what I can tell (and I play mostly off host) it is not possible to stop stomping that way when the sync kill animation has started.
With enough lag it might look like it though.

Doesn't always work in my experience sometimes it will get you just in time and you're locked into the Jesus pose for a min before you actually get back in as well.

I have clearly been able to revive PUGs who I know wouldn't gel, while they are in the process of being stomped.
I mean that clearly the stomp animation has concluded before my revive is complete, and the revive has worked.
I invite others to test this (when the opportunity arises), as I have several times now (even specifically with friends) and it has worked.

I have experienced the exact opposite countless times. I rather kill or stagger the guy who is going to stomp because you cannot beat the animantion. I play on PC and mostly off host.
The only time this might work is with the Cannibal gobbling your teammate.

My fun fact: putting a scope on the saber completely eliminates the crosshair bloom, allowing you to fire it much faster without losing accuracy. This also works when you're hip firing, and is useful for characters without other accuracy bonuses.
This is also effective on the revenant. Aiming down the scope with this gun won't be much fun if you don't have any stability bonus, but having the scope mod and hip firing removes the crosshair bloom making it easier to fire accurately.

This is not correct. I tested this today by getting stomped halfway through a revive circle.

That, or sometimes the stomp animation simply doesn't work and you're still there bleeding out...

Yes, lag or the PUG geling cause he knows you ain't gonna make it is my guess, too.

I am quite sure this is not (always) true.
Maybe some lag or no lag at all?
I am quite sure you are right. I have started to revive PUGs who get stomped in the middle of it many times. I rarely ever host though, so that may be part of the issue.

Most people know that weapons like the saber have dramatic crosshair bloom, which limits how fast you can fire the weapon without losing accuracy.

Wait... so you're saying the scope improves accuracy when hipfiring? If so, I did not know that. Also, if this works with the Talon too, then I see no reason to use any other gun ever on 90% of the classes in this game.

Take the enemies around the PUG out first! Or at least stagger/disable them.
Otherwise it might be not only he who gets stomped.

Maybe my PS3 is possessed? I have been able to consistently revive people who were about to be stomped .. yes I am aware of the 'fail stomp' the enemies sometimes do .. but not as consistently as i've seen doing this .. so .. can't explain that
