It also lets you perform trick shooting shenanigans. For instance, deploying your shield automatically releases an acolyte's charged shot. So you can charge an acolyte and then quick swap to another weapon. This means you'll have your second weapon ready to go just as the acolyte projectile hits, letting you unload into an enemy with no shields just as it is stunned for easy headshots.

You can roll while you are getting up after medigel orrevive.
Also it's possible to kill an unshielded platinum Atlas with flamer in one cast.

For consoles, press down on either stick.UnicornsFolly wrote...
You can click MMB default (I don't know on console, check your bindings) to switch sides on cover without leaving the cover. Either my friend or I discovered that by mashing buttons or something. It's actually reasonably helpful if you can get into the habit.

Not yet, but I'm sure that with a pair of tweezers and a little bit of dental floss I could make it happen. Only for you...

Carefull. You don't want to start a flamewar.

Other "trick shots" including using Biotic Charge like this. Any charged weapon will fire halfway through the BC animation, aimed at where your reticule was when the BC started. Quite effective with the Arc Pistol and GPS, though I have a soft spot for doing it with the Kishock, just for giggles.
Cosmetic thing some people don't notice, the GPSMG has two little flaps that unfold as you fire, and lights that go up them. The bonus 2.5x damage multiplier activates when the top light turns on (after the 6th shot).

What? I've never heard of the GPSMG having any special damage multipliers.

I heard the rank 6 bonus Sniper damage of TC on Geth and QMI applies to not only sniper rifles but other weapons as well.

Seeker Swarms do that.
It has always astounded me how unobservant people are in this game. I don't understand how you could get hit by seeker swarms and *not* notice that your bullets are suddenly flying all over the place and that you can't hit anything with your usually-accurate weapon unless you're standing in the enemy's face.
Incidentally, I would like to see how large the spread on a Raider with no smart choke, no accuracy boosts like hunter mode etc. and the -60% from seeker swarms would be.
I imagine it would be rather amusing.

I just finally realized how the GPSMG works recently, even after having been a fan of it for a long time. It uses a 2.5x damage multiplier to hide the fact that it's RoF isn't as high as it appears. It's RoF is capped at 720RPM, or 12 rounds per second. As it "speeds up", a 2.5x damage multiplier kicks in and it starts to chew up ammo at a rate that appears to be about 27 rounds per second. However in reality, only 12 rounds per second are actually leaving the barrel. So it has the appearance of the fastest RoF in the game, but it's an illusion created by the damage multiplier, it's graphic and the sound effects.
Hell, I suppose that is something that a lot of people don't know.

It honestly took me a while to realize it F's up accuracy as well, I use mostly the paladin. I didn't realize the fancy new scopes added stability as well till recently and it says it in the description.Lord_Sirian wrote...

Another fun way to give the enemy the bird is to stun lock dragoons and pyros by melee combos. A heavy melee or the final blow from a melee flury will cancel their animation, then if you keep spawming your melee flury attack you will keep them stun locked.

The orbs thing, I didn't know. I'm a big fan of running through swarms to get them to self-destruct, though. Only noticed the radius difference when I tried to do the same thing to a plague, got hit with damage, but could still use powers.Fetra wrote...
Speaking of seeker swarms, if you are playing a volus and already have biotic orbs floating around you, those floating balls will override the lock out and actually reduce how long the swarm stays on you to almost nothing do to their natural ability to reduce cooldowns. Also while the swarms are on you, you can still use grenades since they dont follow a cooldown like powers do. Of course if you just stand still, wait for them to shack in one spot, roll away you will kill them without ever getting infected.
