Oh I got another one! Marksman will instantly reset you guns clip without a reaload. So if you use a typhon with an extended clip, once you get almost nothing, hit marksman and the clip will instantly reset to full without missing a single bullet. Doing that combo with the right weapon damage mods you can kill any boss in a single go. I have used that combo many times on an atlas/banshee/floating crabs and even been able to kill a total of 3 brutes in one go-round.

If you use the Geth Pulse Rifle with the spare thermal clip mod, make responsible use of ammo crates, and use the above-mentioned Marksman instant reload, then you can go through an entire match without your fire ever being interrupted.  Not very strong because the GPR deals so little damage, but it's pretty funny to never stop firing ever for any reason.

On consoles, not sure about PC, you can slightly move your character around while activating one of the 4 Hack Objectives. Just slightly nudge on the control sticks until they are off center.

Not sure of the practical benefits or how far you can actually go with it...

Do you mean the medal?

No, I mean the in-game damage bonuses. Killing blow is not needed to activate it as long as your melee was locked on when it dies. It's easy to test with krogans, who give a distictive laugh when going into rage mode.

I understand.
Edit: re-read your explanation. I figured out the answer to my follow-up.

Activate a hack, quickly back out of the hack zone, get credit for being in the hack zone even though you're on the other side of the map smoking a joint providing supporting fire. Make sure you're in the hack zone when you activate it though otherwise it won't work.

Really? Is this a specific map? How big is the window to back out of the circle, and what happens if you subsequently re-enter it?

Must test this, this could be a big one for me.

I've edged a little more behind cover that way. Enough to survive. It can be useful.

Huh... I'm surprised at how practical a lot of this information is. I have ideas about how to essentially neutralize Praetorians without making them respawn, some new info about marksman, a way to instantly swap weapons with the Paladin, the knowledge that I can frame Koala bears for murder, and I now know that initiating a lock-on heavy melee to a target while it's dying can still yield useful bonuses.

Thanks, BSN.

You can optimize movement speed after jumping off a ledge by rolling (or dodging) forward immediately after landing. This allows you to skip the landing animation that forces you to stay stationary for a second.

This is probably known already by everyone on BSN and their dog, but every single pug I've run into doesn't do it.

Oh, and another thing. On London at the overpass, you can quickly get to ground level by jumping as far off to the sides of the hole in the wall, so you miss the cargo container and land directly on the pavement. This saves a couple seconds by allowing you to skip landing on the container and waiting out the animation/slowdown.

It works on many but not all hacks, and the activation bubble is not always in the same place for a given hack.  Ones that I know of:  Reactor by the LZ, Reactor on the far side of the Reactor, White in the lower courtyard, Glacier inside the lab on the side where you spawn, probably others that I'm missing too.

I haven't timed the window but it's a fraction of a second, so you need to start the hack while on the edge and then move away as quickly as possible.  Some people say dodge out of the hack, but simply moving back out of the hack works for me.  Also, you must not go back into the hack after activating it otherwise it works according to the normal rules.

The N7 Fury can teleport through any wall of any height/thickness on any level via heavy melee, with the exception of FireBase Giant, at the ladders between the control room and lowest floor, and I think the rubble pile near the LZ.

Doesn't work on every map.

Goddess it doesn't work on the inside ladder, haven't tried it on the outside ladder.

Also: If you do it with a Vorcha, you take damage on the fall. Doesn't happen with any other character.

When I try it, I'll have to watch the Feed carefully. I'm often the first one to a hack, so I should have a few oppurtunities to see if I can get  the timing down.

This is good stuff in here. :)

Reload cancelling can be done on consoles very easily with long cooldowns (without needing TC). Simply fire a power, and use the weapon. When reloading, tap the power button again to cancel. Works best mostly useless powers as well as heavy weapons ('cause long CD), but for the most part only heavy weapons need reload cancelling anyways.
Ex. Krogan Sentinel. Spec 3 points into incinerate, do whatever with the rest. With a Claymore, incinerate will have a very long CD, allowing easy reload cancelling.

Much more efficient than trying to hit down on the d-pad.

Dodging on a class that cannot dodge does the same thing.  Just try to dodge with your Krogan Sentinel and you will reload cancel instead.  Much more effective than wasting 3 ranks (6 points) in Incinerate.

GI melee build will nuke spawns just as fast as Cobras.

Ramps make you invulnerable to sync kills.

Grenades from the enemies home in on you. Not even kidding they can literally have the throwing forward animation and it somehow flies back to you.

Praetorians falling down whilst they are hovering looks adorable.

Uh? This is wrong. You can teleport through both the places you mentioned, while there are other spots on other maps where you cannot. Example: the Long ladder on vancouver.

You can lock scions into melee only, by charging or just moving close to him then backing up as he starts his melee, after he finishes flailing charge again and back away.

Yeah well... If you're on a different height than he is, yeah. Otherwise you'll get synced.

Accuracy boosts immediately kick in but Rate of Fire boosts do not until you stop firing and begin firing again.

Except for on the Black Widow if you're firing it full auto for some unknown reason, then the RoF boost will show up.

Vindicated!  I was half right, and that's good enough for my age addled brain!

Hey, here's a question I don't know.  If one person is on a 4-cap objective but about to go down, if another person gets on it, will it continue uninterrupted if they go down?  The useful hack info tip just made me wonder if there are other ways to get an advantage on objectives.

Oh, on escorts, cloaked Infils do not count as helping.  Annoys me soooo much when I see people just staying cloaked on an escort.  *singsong voice* You're not helping! /*singsong voice*

If multiple people try to cap an objective at once, they each have their own progress bar. It doesn't pick up where they left off, it just continues on your progress bar, so if you're started as they go down, it'll take the full 10 seconds to clear it.

Ah, that's a good one. It takes 10 seconds per device. Each hack takes 1 minute of everyone being inside the hack zone, or 4 minutes of only one person in four being it it.

Don't know if there's a similar concrete number for Escorts. Anyone know? Based on the percieved disparities between Rio and Glacier that way, I imagine not, but I'd rather hear it from someone else.

Peeing on a jellyfish sting does nothing... but it's a great idea if the victim doesn't know this fact! It's the only opportunity you'll get to be thanked by someone for peeing on them!

If you get killed by something in the middle of a praetorian sync kill, use a medigel immediately and you will be on your feet, ready for action with 0 standing up animation with the praetorian next to you

If you side hop down a ladder (not tested for all dodges), it avoids the ladder climbing animation and ends up like you jumped off a ledge.

If you run diagonally (W+D or W+A) or perpendicular to the line of fire, tracking projectiles will miss, including atlas/RT rockets, prime/ravager/scion beams
