Yea... and "hot jets of flame spewing all over the place" would tend to give off an orange glow and affect the color of their surroundings. You know, like how the frill of her cape is glowing and her face has an orange hue. And oh my god she might not be wearing a glove on her right hand, ruined forever.

Did I say "ruined forever" anywhere? No need for the agressiveness and hostility, cripes. I was simply saying that it looks like they made some minor changes to her outifit from her Origins design, from the color of her robes to some of the minor details like her glove hand. Chill out.

And don't tell me you wouldn't be complaining just as much if she was "completely redesigned," Brock. Don't even.

Sure, I'd complain if they "completely redesigned" her as a character. There is a difference between the character and the clothing however. I'd be ok if they tried redesigning or giving her a different outfit. Maybe I wouldn't like it if they gave her a Flemeth spikes and horns outfit, but if it was something like she wore in the Sacred Ashes trailer, that would be cool. I'd prefer it if characters had more than one look in terms of clothing. I've seen a bunch of fanmade designs for Morrigan's clothing that I quite like.

But I suppose you already knew that seeing as you seemingly know my exact tastes and what I'd complain about.

Yeah, it is a bit redder, but that is  pretty much the only thing they've changed. Methinks they're gonna keep
her looking almost exactly the same in any iteration. Her being distinct as compared to the other companions is one of the main reasons used  when devs were talking about iconic looks for companions. It wouldn't  make much sense to then redesign her.

No doubt- they seem intent on the whole iconic look for NPCs and seeing as Morrigan had one of the most "iconic" looks from Origins they likely wouldn't change it. But it would be nice if they had a more diverse wardrobe for NPCs. Especially in DA2, it was silly seeing these characters over the course of 10 years in the same outfit every time, more or less.

I understand your very annoying ability to find a way to complain about anything and everything that emanates from bioware hq no matter how innocuous. ^_^

My reaction was probably overblown but it was not based on nothing.

Spewing hot jets of flame all over the place doesn't seem terribly wise when you're twirling around with a cape. Seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Meh, lore wise Mages can actually control the intensity of magically created flames. In the Magi Origin you see an Enchanter trying to teach this to an apprentice.

I be surprised if Morrigan wore the same thing in DA:I as she did in DA:O.

In DA:O, she was a swamp witch that was leaving the swamp for the first time. It's been ten years, and I'd doubt she'd go back to living in a hut in the middle of nowhere. She's either in Orlais or in the Eluvean.

Maria, you never played through the Witch Hunt DLC, did you?

OTTAH, I don't like that cover design. If it's the official, I'm almost tempted to pass on it. Guess I'll just wait and see how useful the book actually is.

Agreed. I'd also be surprised if Flemeth looked exactly the same.

I think this looks very interesting. I like the idea of being able to read the histories and cultures of the different areas of Thedas. Even if some of the information is not new just to have so well presented instead of pieces of codex entries is a huge plus.
