I am one who likes a number of play styles, it depends on my mood.
But generally I like CQC. Hence I do better with Vanguards, Paladin is probably my favourite Sentinel followed by Valkyrie, and I like a shotgun GI.
But I also like sniping a lot. I am not as good with sniping as I am in CQC, but I like doing it. It isn't even much about missing targets, it's something about tunnel vision when playing a sniper and sometimes that gets me killed a lot more. Other times I am fine.
When I am tired of doing CQC and don't feel like doing sniping I can play casters for a long time.
I kinda cycle through.
'Blast your guns' characters are probably my least favourite, although every so often it feels liberating to stand there with a Destroyer and just mow stuff with a Typhoon.

Depending on Kit, I range from either Methodical to Area Denial/Sweep.
Generally any class with a stumble like Overload/ED/Sabo I'll play 'Methodical', move from target to target, creating headshot opportunities and then watermelon time. This is also typical of my time with Infiltrators that aren't CQB.
With weapon classes like Soldiers, I switch to 'Area Denial/Sweep' which usually involves a slow but steady application of force along a certain choke point, using powers and grenades as well as copious amounts of raw firepower to ensure no entry to that point. If no enemies in the choke point, I'll switch to sweeping forward cautiously unless I know the lines are not near me anymore. Biotics/Engineers (with the exception of Vanguards/Paladin/Shadow) fall under this category because I stick to cover and set up explosions or harassment.
Both of these hang back some, or at least play cautiously. No rushing spawns and spamming grenades. Only classes that I rush even a little bit with are the aforementioned Vanguards/Paladin/Shadow. However, with them, its a variant of 'Methodical', pick out targets and take apart groups piecemeal via hit and run.
Call me safe, but I generally only commit to an aggressive advance when I'm sure of the outcome, and I generally keep an eye on exit routes. Too many people are focused on killing everything that moves that they don't watch for flanking. They hear gun shots and rush over instead of holding a location, and then get taken down by pyros/hunters or anything else that likes to flank. Though tempting, I try to cover those areas so that the 'glory hounds' don't get crushed and then I have to solo the wave again.

I play CQC; like Shotguns, Ballistic Blades, Grenades, Annihilation Field, and Snap Freeze.

I don't really know I've got one...I like being able to switch between the different types and play in different ways. After all this time I still don't think I have just one favourite character or playstyle.
I do tend to play in very class-specific ways when I play them, though - cloak and snipe with Infiltrators, run 'n' gun with Sentinels, bit of the old ultraviolence with the Krogan Battlemaster...

Mid-close range. Being mobile. I like the way Valkyrie, Fury, Asguard, Shadow and Paladin play. Sometimes it has to be true body contact and then I take a Krogan or Batarian.
If I feel up for it and have my adrenaline level stocked I play the Paladin very aggressively, but it's highly risky and situational. If it doesn't work out he can fall back to more conservative tactics and that is the great thing about this guy.
I feel I use mostly shotguns, the Hurricane and high-powered pistols. From time to time I use tactical weapons like Scorpion, Falcon and Acolyte to support powers or to prepare a melee strike.

One word: biotics. Be it a close range Fury, a medium range Slasher or a long range Vanilla Adept, making groups of enemies explode with power combos is my favorite playstyle.
On the other hand, I consider myself a rather universal player. I can usually find a fun play style with most any kit.

I run towards groups of enemies like a retard on a cocaine binge, but instead of dying 20 times in one wave I actually kill things.
... usually.

I love power combos. When it makes BOOM, i'm happy.
But i also enjoy sniping, Locust/Hurricane Tsol and melee biulds.

Depends on the kit and enemy.
When I play Geth, I'm always conservative. I mainly play squishy kits, so two double/triple rocket hits don't go down too well.
Whenever I play a Drell adept, Vorcha sentinel or fury, I spawn rush, cause huge amounts of damage, and keep it moving.
I tend to flank and hit & run the rest of the time.

my favourite characters are vanguards and adepts. i like biotic explosions. I dont like soldiers v much - mostly because i have rubbish aim so more reliant on powers than weapons (which is not that great since this game rewards weapon damage more than power damage)

Highly efficient and smooth organized killing is up my alley. I like both sniping and CQC brawls. Hacking Gold wave 10 against the Reapers inside FBW with sound effects to the max is awesome!
