I choose Liara mainly because.... oh come on did you look at her?
That said, 3 of my sheps are male and the other 3 are female. I like variety and do not like sausage fests. The same always applies when i have multiple chars in a game. The only exception being Planetside 2 O_O
Malesheps:
1- Tom - Vanguard: Liara
2- Kurt - Soldier: Jack (they look almost 20 years apart. It's kinda creepy actually O_O)
3- Adam - Adept: Tali
Femsheps:
1- Liz - Sentinel: Jacob (she is a blonde so i just HAD to hook her up with blacktastic XD)
2- Rae - Infiltrator: Traynor
3- Nadia - Engineer: Thane

didn't care much about voice, both are equally. prefer Sheploo because face texture
look real and better. Femshep default is too barbie doll for my taste.

Joshua - Liara, faithful
Ashok - Ash, Miranda, Ash
Diego - Ash (died on Virmire), Tali, Tali
Svetlana - Kaidan, Thane, Kaidan
Kenya - Kaidan (died on Virmire), Garrus
Still have to do my playthrough of the Jack romance, only one left I'm interested in.

I'm a male and I play as female in any game that allows for the choice. Maybe because its better to look at a female (from a male perspective) for thirty hours than a male. Or maybe because there is a dearth of well-made asskicking female characters in videogames. Or because maybe its pure beauty seeing a sexy female kick ass left right and centre.Anyway, I prefer females to males and have absolutely no problem relating to anyone just because they don't share my gender.
This is kind of me from a female perspective....As a female I play males...the strong, handsome, sexy hero does it for me every time, watching him kick *ss, etc...and I don't have any problems relating to him RP wise, in fact I tend to find I become much more immersed...I think because if I play a female I would relate too well if that makes sense and can't see me being able to achieve what my heroes are achieving....so I create someone I feel is very capable and try to get inside his head.
Plus Meers' voice is gorgeous....

Maybe you could grab his face code for me.
I have a pretty defined taste....he doesn't float most peoples boat...though funnily enough, he and my Dovahkin look like they could be brothers and I'm fighting people off wanting my Dovahkins face...go figure...

ME specificly, I prefer to play as female, as I like Hale's acting better than Meer's. Though Meer did grow on me, eventually.
